I love the handles on that one, Iman!
I was hoping that they were bone, but I just looked them up and discovered that are acrylic. That varied color and jigging pattern is certainly gorgeous!

Thanks Reverand, appreciate that. I would have preferred bone, but they didn't have any. Luckily this acrylic is about the best acrylic I have ever seen and is growing on me. I like the depth of color, how you can see down in instead of flat surface acrylic. Thanks again, agreed completely ::handshake:: .

GEC 34 - this is one of the few patterns that clicks all the boxes for what I like in a knife & exceeds expectations once I got it. Really like the acrylic red swirl on Ivorymans, but those are tough to come by now. I kinda like the faux ivory GEC uses - it's unique to GEC as far as I know ...

You nailed it Lansky. Thanks for the compliments. I really like the unicorn ivory pattern. You have a winner. Excellent approximation of ivory grain and color. Very cool as acrylic goes. Also love the thin single spring and two blades. Also love the swell center or camel back. Makes for great grip. Hope you like that baby, it sure is pretty. I have really enjoyed mine so far and really like the pattern. I assume the PPP edition it is means it hasn't been run before or I've never seen this pattern before. Love it so far. Congrats on a beauty. ::tu:: ::tu::

Nice three DM. Particularly like the red acrylic they used on these 34s. Love the way it kind of glows when the light goes through it. Even on a dark cloudy day it picks up the light. And that Ebony is very good. Nice ones, hope you like the 34 as much as I'm liking mine. Single springs rock. ::tu::

Blades4U sent this one out to me. Always liked the 72 pattern and have a couple others, but no clip point and no bones like these until this came. Not only beautiful, but this knife doesn't have any blade wobble, movement when open. Amazing, since every other LB I have from GEC does have a little. Well, they must be getting a handle on it because this one is like a Moki. Super smooth action, excellent bank vault click when it locks in, and so tight you would think it a fixed. I'd say GEC is stepping it up a notch with the LB and the bones, my gosh the bones. Love how they have ridges and bumps and grooves. The color and surface reminds me of old Mammoth tusk covers with almost a bark like exterior. A+ from GEC again and no surprise there. They haven't disappointed me for many years now and this one was better than expected. Thanks Blades4U for letting me have it. Can't thank you enough. ::tu:: ::tu:: ::groove::

That is a gorgeous knife, Ivoryman. Love the bones' texture and color. All the 72s I've owned in the past also had a bit of blade movement when locked open; glad to hear your new one doesn't. Just goes to show that even a company as successful as GEC can still continue to improve their product (Hey, CASE, are you listening? )

The clip point on yours looks good for sure, but if it had a Wharncliffe I'd really be ::drool::

Thanks much Q, and Quick S. Appreciate the comments and compliments.
You nailed it Q, I think they are still improving. Many years ago I picked up a couple GECs with some issues like blade rubbing the liners, nowhere near centered. And one with almost no snap. But since then I have not seen that on any of them. I'm with you, wish Case was listening and working on the issues. Would impress me enough to buy Case, but they don't seem interested. GEC on the other hand, IMHO, are interested. And they fixed the knife or two I sent back. Case on the other hand did not. Did not even mention it or acknowledge it. Big thumbs down on that. GEC have impressed me anyway and I don't have a problem with their knives or their customer service and their response. And when you get a knife like this, you know they are continuing to raise the bar. God bless them for all of that. ::handshake::

Thanks bud, you're too kind. I do like a spear, but on this run didn't have that option. Also don't want to fail to live up to anybody's expectations or anything like that for you. Appreciate the comment and thanks again. ::handshake::

Glad you took the plunge, now to keep the addiction in check I'll have to refer you to someone else on the forum. Congrats and welcome and love the 74s so you did good. Nice wood. Sweet pick up.

Every time I swear I'm not buying any more knives for a few months GEC comes out with a new run of one of my fave patterns in some irresistible covers and @#$%&(!)/ I can't say no. That's why they call it GREAT Eastern. That's why I'm so %$#÷/&[@#] addicted. They're killing me. The Viper bit me bad.
