As far as accuracy...I would say about the same...As you mentioned the beretta is alot easier to disassemble and clean.
As for the warranty...I wouldn't know..I bought both beretta's at my friends pawn shop and they were used.
I do know this, the S&W seemed to be a bit lighter....either that or I'm getting weak in my old age!!

I have had only 4 Beretta's in my life.....I loved them all. 8)
If you get one you won't regret it. 8)

Here's a couple of my fav's.

My oldest and dearest friend - Ruger .22 cal Single-Six three screw, w/mag cyl (unmodified) I bought it after being released from active duty in the fall of 1966.

My pride and joy - Henry Golden Boy .17 HMR w/custom receiver. This was given to me for my 65th birthday by my two best friends.

Tried and true. The faithful old standby. - Colt Series 70, Mark IV .45 auto. This is the second one. Sold the first one ::dang:: ::dang:: ::dang:: They just keep getting more expensive so I think I'll hold on to this one.

My "ugly gun" just hangs around waiting for someone to be naughty. - Hi-Point 9mm

Maybe I'll post a few more later.

An unloaded firearm is no more useful than a rock.

Thanks Johnnie,

My brother and I used to shoot single six .22 by the boat load. We got pretty darn good with those things! The .45 is a little more costly to shoot!

My son-in-law has a S&W 500. I hope to get to shoot it this Thanksgiving weekend. Take a look at ammo cost for that beast http://east.outdoormarksman.com/index.p ... h=65_1_203

Year before last, one of the Christmas presents I gave him was a box a box of 20 I bought at Gander Mountain. I paid $60 for that dad-gummed box of cartridges.

It's 100% as issued in 1942 from the Springfield Armory. It went all the way through the Pacific campaigns with a SEABEE and followed him home after the war. ::tu:: Apparently he didn't shoot it much as it gauges out to nearly new.
