All About Pocket Knives

Here's one I got in the mail today! Frank B stamped 9 inch, blue Pearlex handles and solid. I wanted a pretty traditional Switchblade and this one fits that bill nicely. Really much more solid than I was expecting. Bayonet blade of course.

FB's are the sh!t!! ..smooth action and definitely dependable!!

Some do.....I have a Pro-Tech God Father that will jump out of your hand!!

No.......and its made in the US. ...I bought this one from Forensic Jim back a couple years ago.

My 2 latest pick ups. The darker handled one is marked MADE IN ITALY, possibly made by Mauro Mario 1950's?? The other is an Edwin Jay amde by Latama or contracted out by the late Sam Polk. Both are 7 7/8" overall. I really love the red dot safeties on the older knives!!!

Is the safety button missing on the Edwin Jay??

Hi Dimitri, yes the cap is broken off but there is enough left to engage the safety. Here is the history of the knife from the man I bought it from, neat story!!

Glad you like it. Yes the knife belonged to my uncle who I believe got it new sometime in the 50's. It sat opened in a drawer at his mothers house until about 1993 when my younger cousin discovered it at his grandmothers. He was about 14 at the time and I was 16. When my uncle found out that my cousin found the knife, he took it away from him and gave it to me. (not sure why he thought it was a better idea for a 16 year old to have than a 14 year old) Stupidly, I sharpened the blade. Shortly after I got it, my brother realized that I had it and when he found out where I was hiding it, he played with it and broke the safety. So thats the family history. I'm glad it found a new home to what appears to be a serious collector who will repair it and enjoy it.

Nice to have history with a knife

Looking for some info on this one...as to who made it and when. It has good snap and a tight lock up, although the
swing guard is a little loose.
