Do you know why the screw was used in the first place? Giving a specific whole diameter I assume.

Here are a couple of hard to find ones. I really like the design of both of these.

There are a couple of this type already posted, here they are again. I obtained all of these in a buy of some retired Dental equipment. The two groups of four are all from Pakistan. The other two Germany. I had no idea Pak. Made anything of this quality. With these, a couple of the tooth pullers and a few picks I suppose one could start their own Gitmo.

Junk sale - - bought box of old tools - - dug out these with no idea they were in there. Never knew Kershaw made anything but knives. My Honey had just snapped the handle off one of her favorite pair so now she is owner of a pair of KERSHAW scissors which makes her a side kick of a knife collector

Good ol' Morley & Sons. They made a nice knife.

I'm curious about the serrations on the back of the blade. What is that for?

I have had old pairs of scissors in the original box with factory pamphlet and these serrations were identified as a fingernail file

Here are some of my scissors

1)Seven pairs of poultry shears including a stag handled Eloi Pernet and a LF&C with pearl inserts.
2)An Eloi Pernet desk set with file worked scissors.
3)A D.Peres medical kit with 2 pair of scissors and a nickel silver handled razor.
4)A D.Peres manicure kit with 2 pairs of scissors.
5)A J.A.Henckels manicure set with mother of pearl implements and 2 pair of scissors.
6)A pair of Joseph Rodgers ivory handled scissors with a knife blade in each handle.The blades are about 1 inch long.

I have several more pairs but I can't find pics of them.I'll have to dig them out.

Great scissor collection K7K, the Joseph Rogers are really something special. What a fine piece of craftsmanship.

.......my wife has a pair of old 8" scissors that are stamped on one side with a 4 leaf clover and underneath it's marked Adolph kastor & sons., on the opposite side they are marked w. h. morley & sons. the handles are elaborately engraved and appear to be silver, for their size, they are extremely heavy. does anyone have any idea as to the age and value on this???......................... ................

I don't collect them, just keep a few pair of heavy duty ones around for cutting leather and such. Here is a pair I got at a flea market a sometime back for $2. They were covered in rust, I cleaned them up, fixed the boogered screw, repainted the handles, and sharpened them. They have 6" blades and are great for cutting thick leather. The stamp is AUFDEMKAMPE HDW CO. I cannot find much info on this company only that it was an Ohio company in or around Cincinnati that started around 1900-1901. If anyone can dig up anything more definitive I would sure appreciate any info I can get.

Just got these today , don't know anything about them but they are cool!

.......gino, the shape and the engraving on yours is identical to a pair I got for my wife off of ebay about 8 years ago. I still don't know anything about them??.mine are stamped with a cloverleaf, underneath that, kastor and co., germany(Camillus founder) and on the other side they are stamped w. h. morley and sons....there's also a cloverleaf on the head of the pivot screw....mine are 7 1/4" long..... ......

Been giving these 4" bladed Clauss Chromes a workout. They needed the edges touched up but man they sho' do cut fine. I need to fix that boogered screw

I just spent half hour staring at scissors, some people might find that odd. I'm a bit worried that I don't....don't have any old pair, but there's some cool pieces being shown here, thanks for sharing.
