I take to mean "Fabrique Nationale".
That doesn't surprise me since France bought 40,000 of them after the US Army turned them down for the model 1911 Colt. ::nod::
They actually made a handful of these chambered for the 45acp......If your lucky enough to own one ..the low end on these are $15,000. ::nod::

Heres a better pic of "SAVAGE" that has faded out over the years. :(
but johnnie gets all the pocketknives.
Donald ...I wish that were true,my Friend!! ::nod:: 8)

Glock? What Glock?

I did finally make eye contact with the pistol.

I loved the part where she talked about cleaning and lubricating the inside of her "slide".

Can you tell my wife has been out of the country? I haven't seen her in two weeks.

A friend of mine came to me last week and told me that his father had died and had a gun put away for years. He told his wife that when he dies she is to throw it in the bay. I told him to bring it over!! It turned out to be a steel frame P38 with bakelite grips made by Mauser. It was stamped with Stix but no swastika. Can any of you guys think of any reason his father would want it tossed? I'm trying to get him to give me some pics but it's no different than what you find on sale. All I can think of is he used it bad when he was a young man.

I guess mainly...just the look. ::nod:: ...I like a pistol to have atleast a 4 inch barrel. ::tu::
Unless it’s a Derringer......I love Derringers. 8)

I agree. I think a derringer is a pretty interesting gun. I don't own one. I would love to have a Deringer.
That is, an orignal Deringer. Don't think I could afford one.

Yeah....theres something about a Derringer and a Boot Knife......know what I mean? ::nod:: ...I guess a switchblade would fall into that same genre as well. 8)

This thread got me thinking it would be cool to picture knives and guns together, that go together by manufacturer, or that were made in the same general area of the country.

I took a couple pics, then it started to rain. I put a Winchester 1920, with a Model 71 .348, and my Great Grandfathers Remington 141 .35 Rem., with a Remington 1123. (He also had an 1123, and my Uncle has it now)

Brett,

I'm starting not to like you. ;) ::sotb::

That Mod 71 is like one my dad had that got stolen when I was in Nam and that knife beside it? I guess I'm gonna have to have a drink.

GREAT stuff and AWESOME pics!!! ::tu:: ::tu::

That Mod 71 is one of the nicest I've seen in a long time. Dad's had quite a few miles in a saddle scabbard and the bluing was thin in a lot of places.

Thanks guys. Willie, that 71 is not as good as it looks from that side. It was drilled and a side mount installed, and a 2 3/4X Redfield on it, plus the pad added. I liked it anyway, and those faults made it affordable to me. It is a 1st year of production Deluxe, with a factory bolt peep.
