Looking back at that list, it took a few licks in the 70's too.

What an era. Viet Nam tore this country in half. I think you could call it the Civil War (or if you're from the South, The War Of Northern Agression) of politics and mind set.

Jerry your list from the 80's looks pretty top 40-ish and Rock was 'Metal' in the 80's and alot of
the best 80's bands did not make the top 40 and probably did not want to. I grew up in the 70's and
had a radio playing in my room 24/7, no arguement that the 70's produced better music, but the
80's had some pretty darn good music from the Big Hair Bands. I own every Judas Priest album(CD) ever
made and listen to them still quite a bit. Even the last part of that decade had GNR and Metallica was
just getting good. Not sure there were any great bands in the Grungy 90's, but there are some
really good Rock bands hitting right now, and I am happy for it. Black Label Society, Theory of a Deadman,
Stone Sour, etc etc. Pop Evil has an album 'Lipstick in the Mirror' that is good front to back. I surely miss
the 70's, but I think Rock/Metal is kinda making a comeback in spite of the Alternative stuff that looked
like it would completely kill it.

....oh yeah, and Ronnie Montrose was maybe the most under-rated guitar player of the era.
Sammy Hagar was lead for Montrose when he was just a kid, cool stuff!!

Sammy is the guy on the far right of the cover.
This is one of my all time fave songs....

Hey Guys, I am trying to post a video link, but I'm having the hardest time.
I have gone over the directions and I'm not doing anything wrong, I don't think.

Is there something I am missing?

Hit the 'youtube' button and insert the url.
The only time I have had trouble so far is when I have more than one Youtube tab open, it adds a suffix and won't post.
I think the suffix began with a = sign if I remember right. Not sure that will help, but its the only glitch I know of.

works - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUeuAnMNDhA
doesn't - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XfKGI2o_VQ&ob=av2n

I know these links work from here, but if the second one is installed in the 'youtube' button, did not work for me.

Something I had trouble with was not inserting the URL dead center between the YouTube bracket sets. You have to hold your cursor right at center when you right click to paste. You also have to copy the URL from the top of your page, not from the YouTube "share" URL. It took me several tries before I finally figured it out too.

Here's one for you Jerry! Styx is one of my all time favorites, too! Second concert that I went to as a young'n and the opening lick for this Styx classic is the first I ever learned when I took up guitar. Enjoy!

It is top 40 and it's not my list. Just something I found on the web. I'm an accomplished plagiarist.

_______________________________________________________________________________

I was having trouble posting YouTube videos and this is what I found works every time:
 1. In YouTube Left click on the Share button just below the video you're playing or have played.
 2. Left click on Options just below the box that has the URL in it.
 3. Left click on the Long Link box to select it
 4. Left click on the new URL in the box above
 5. The URL will highlight (turn dark)
 6. Right click on the URL and left click on copy in the drop down box
 7. come back to your post and left click on the youtube button
 8. Your cursor will be automatically placed between . Hold down the Control (Ctrl) button on your keyboard and tap the 'v' key. That will past the URL from the clipboard to the screen.
Ta Da.

Thanks for the Styx, WB.
