I have this big Aerial Cutlery Marinette Wis. It seems very similar to the Golden Rule and Canton Cutlery . It looked like it was beginning to outgas in the original covers so I reluctantly had it rehandled in ebony.
That is a gorgeous final product! Great job!

Justa caution, I've had three and they all had serious outgassing problems. Re-handled 2 of them. J.O'.
Yeah I considered that. I also connected the dots to a badly gassing nudie cutie I recently acquired in another lot. Looks very similar to what I've been seeing. Also has a stamp in poor condition. I double checked and it looks like it's also a GRC.

Here are some images of picture knife covers by various manufacturers. Some are unmarked and others have had the name ground off. The large leg is a Standard Knife co.(CASE),and there are GOLDEN RULE, VIGNOS,THORNTON, COLONIAL, USA,etc. They are all original except one that is a pic of my mother circa 1927. One handle had deteriorated(the other side was fine!) so l replaced it with a period correct picture.1st picture.
