Here are a few. The first batch are all under 3 in. The second is right at 3 inches. The last are at 3 1/4 inches.

Here are a few peanuts.
Top to bottom, left to right. Case, Olsen Ok, and a Schrade Walden.
All three are well made in their own way however the Olsen is my favorite of the three. I like the nail nicks being on the same side and the cut-out for the secondary and it just feels better in the hand.

All nice, but how easy is it to access that nail nick on the main blade of that Olsen?
I play bass and keep my nails short. I think I'd have some trouble with that one.

Three very appealing Peanuts, Joe. My favorite of the three is also the Olsen. I like that swedge. I do not know for sure, but I think that the Olsen was made by Schrade. I have a Craftsman and a Parker-Frost reportedly made by Schrade, with that exact design main blade, nail nicks and cut-outs. Thanks for posting: I have not seen one of those Olsens before.

Thanks, That's a good point Steve. The main nick appears to be slightly obstructed by the secondary. I've never noticed an issue getting good purchase on the blade. I keep my nails long enough to open knives but short enough for good hygiene. I can see having short nails while playing stringed instruments would be beneficial. A musically talented friend of mine once said " Don't pluck it up, gotta slap that bass"

Thanks Mel, I know the Olsen was made by others but I'm not sure by whom. The only other peanut I've seen that looks almost the same was an Ulster 183 which I do not own to compare side by side. When I bought the Olsen (several years ago for $4) I had no idea what it was. Rusty and black grime covering the whole knife, handle and all. Pleasantly surprised to see what was hiding underneath after a good cleaning. Perhaps the connection made by saving this one from the heap is why I am so fond of it.
