Good eye! Yes it’s a first Camillus. It’s one of my very favorites. I have a new in box I just put into service to retire this one but it somehow always finds its way back into my pocket.Baykeeper wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 11:12 pmGreat way to carry! This 301 is either a first version Camillus, (1972-1986), or one of those made by Schrade between 1966-1971, I could tell which if I could see the master blade better. Either way it looks to be in good condition, and I suspect it is first version Camillus. Nice EDC of a 50 year old knife.
How do you carry the 301?

It's funny how a specific knife will feel better in the hand than other identical knives, it must be a molecular bond of some kind, because once I start carrying a knife I almost always carry that same knife no matter what I already have or what's coming to the mailbox. My daily carries right now are a Buck #112 Slim Pro, (clipped into back pocket), and a Camillus-made Craftsman Stockman, (same size as a 301, carried in the watch pocket; can you tell I like Camillus).CHNeal wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 11:17 pmGood eye!
