That is one of the best Christmas albums ever made IMO.
They sound like the words to the songs are most important; they don’t have all that pizazz that some singers flaunt to make the song “theirs”. Simple and respectful.

Even though I didn't understand what they were singing, I would go see both of these bands. The second had a very interesting video, I liked The Good, Bad & Ugly reference.

Old 97s
My husband and I went to see them live on a ferry boat that went around the Hudson River. Great show. I made a I <3 Murray t-shirt (the bassist) and he spotted me before the show and we took pictures together. After the show he tracked us down off of the boat, signed my shirt and invited us back to his hotel for drinks....we passed, lol. Unsurprisingly, he is now divorced, but he was still married at the time.
I saw the Old 97's at the Black Cat in DC back in 2018 or 19. I think they had some Friends/Courtney Cox connection, according to my sister. I used to go to a lot of shows, mostly Punk, SKA and alternative rock. Flogging Molly last year at Anthem in DC has been my last to date.

We went to a Rancid concert out in Camden NJ (I do not recommend going to Camden EVER) and we stayed in the back. People were hurling empty glass beer bottles re-filled with piss into the air. No thanks to that. Who thought it was a good idea to sell glass bottles at a punk concert?????
Our last concert was Jack White at an indoor venue in NYC several years ago. Too much pot smoking was going on and since the stuff makes me sick too my stomach we had to leave very early. I hate rude pot smokers.
We like Flogging Molly a lot too. How was that concert? Any pee-pee bottles getting tossed around? I'm also unfamiliar with D.C. - what was that like?
Dave King always gets the crowd rockin'. A lot of energy but not out of control. Anthem uses Solo cups and I've never seen anyone throwing anything there. The floor at Anthem is usually open and General Admission, but my sister likes the balcony seats.
Now outside venues are a different story.

I can't count the number of shows I've been too. Beastie Boys to Junior Brown, Slipknot to Willie Nelson, I've seen a lot. Great memories, usually with friends and family. Even a lot of local cover bands, outdoor day-long festivals, Christmas shows, you name it. I did miss Nirvana, Sublime and Johnny Cash.
