No problem Tom, I love hearing about others interests!
My post was my feeble attempt at humor, I'll try to refrain from that in the future!

Just saw this, Mark. You could be on to something.
I was just trying to be funny, John, but I won't give up my day job anytime soon!

As some of you may know I’m a power sports mechanic so I eat and breath motorcycles and ATV’s lol .
My son and I drive these two around our neighborhood .
First is a 1971 CL175 , my grandfather purchased this new , I’ve been the caretaker of it for the last 30 years or so , in the picture it’s on the lift getting some service .
Next is a 1973 cl100 , I’m the second owner , very low hour bike .

Thanks guys, The old softail is stock but the Fatboy has an Andrews EV27 bolt on cam and an S&S carb. Really makes a difference in power between the 2 bikes.

Love the evo softails.
Heading to Duquoin for the mile flat track, then over to Kentucky to visit Dad on Father's Day.
Taking the Kaw 1400, it is comfy for trips although this one will only be around 1000 miles round trip.
Looking forward to a little "road solitude".

Thanks, Andy, for the term "Road Solitude"!
I've often wondered exactly what that feeling sould be called, riding along with nothing on your mind except to be aware of bugs flyin' up your nose and should I stop for coffee, now that's what I call freedom and solitude!

What I know about motorcycles you could put in your eye and it wouldn't hurt. I was behind the door when the MC genes were installed. The male members of my family mostly own or have owned MC's and ride them. I've attached a pic of my grandfather on a Emblem prior to WW I. He loved cruising the backroads. Also work on the Reading Railroad as an engineer into the 40's I think. The other picture is of my father with his pals. He is in the middle on the red Indian. He continued to ride into retirement, his last was a BMW R75.

Cool post, Steve!
Those bikes will never be built like that again.
Love the cowls.

Tanks Marco. Those vintage bikes were gorgeous. Too bad the Indian Brand didn't hang around longer under Hendee Manufacturing in Springfield, MA. There is a new Indian based out west.

Yep, I've seen pictures of the new Indians, Steve, and Triumph has started building again so there definitely are some nice one's out there!

Nice pictures, Steve99!
Love the Emblem, maybe a 110 model.
Those were made near Buffalo NY from 1907 to 1925.
https://magazine.cycleworld.com/article ... -model-110
I used to be a member of the Chief Blackhawk Chapter of the AMA, and attended the show many years but I don't recall seeing an Emblem, very rare! Thank you for the pictures!
I rode up to Duquoin IL for the AFT mile flat track.
Good weekend of racing!
I then rode over to Owensboro KY to visit my Dad, then rode home this morning. A good trip, around 700 miles total.
The Indians aren't as dominating this year as they were given the AFT rule changes.
Here are a couple pictures of HD trackers, and one of the art deco building in front of the mile track, which was built for horse racing; The Hambletonian Stakes was
run there for many years in the past.

Yes sir. At the car wash.
I had to use a screwdriver to chip the crud from the bottom of the engine later in Palmer when I had arranged to change the oil at a friends house.
I would not take anything up the haul road that I cared about the aesthetics.....(understatement)

I recognized the hair palace sign in the background.
I just noticed that the car wash is still there but no longer open.

Lots of nice bikes posted here! Here's what I have now. It's a 2002 Kawasaki ZRX 1200 that I bought new but unfortunately don't get much time to ride it. It only has a little under 10,000 miles on it, so it's not like I am wearing it out. The wife wants me to sell it, but every time I think I am ready to let it go, I ride it again and just can't sell it.

Nice, I remember those and wanted one of those but other obligations at the time had me riding a 1000 Concours that I bought from a bank repo.
I remember a guy took the front end and other components from a ZRX and made a hopped up franken-connie, which was very cool.
Thanks for the picture.
If you are near south central TN it would be great to see that bike in person.

Stoped at a Honda dealership on my way home from work last week to check out the 2025 Honda CB 350 RS. They had one in black for 4,500€. Great looking bikes in my opinion. Just wish they had more color choices. Here they only come in black, light grey & light blue. The grey & blue colors look almost the same. It's a Scrambler style bike.

Anyways, very nice looking bikes.
