Good stuff there, I don't think any of those ever made it to the Midwest, but I remember seeing Ballantines and Knickerbocker signs on old pictures of the NY ballparks.

These have only been in my family and they have seen plenty of usage. They are all mine now. Represented and pictured below are the following beers and breweries. Not in any particular order. Acme Brewing Company, Ballantine, Falstaff, Hamm's, Jacob Ruppert Brewery, Knickerbocker, Olympia, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Schaefer, Schlitz and Utica Club. These are all from the 1960's, possibly the 1950's, maybe to the early 1970's.

Sorry to not have a pic yet but I have a Griswald bottle opener. Its a female figure about 4-5 inches long in brass or maybe bronze.I found it online from very early 1900s

Here are a few that are a bit different in that they are basically for opening champagne bottles but will also do the occasional bottle and can. The "Silver Spray Beer" opener came as part of a 1920's era sign painter's kit I bought many years ago.The German model is unique in that it has a folding can opener as is the Bonsa knife.

This morning, my trip to the post office produced this advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener. It was included in a group or lot of NON-CUTLERY related items that I bought. I did NOT buy the group or lot to obtain this particular item. But, it did turn out to be a keeper. It has now been added to my cap lifter or bottle opener accumulation. It is a Coca-Cola, 3" long, advertising, all metal, cap lifter or bottle opener. It does have a hole for a lanyard, key ring, etc. The main side says, "Purity is sealed - in a bottle" The other side says, "DRINK BOTTLED Coca-Cola" I do NOT know what the shape of this item is supposed to resemble, if anything. Maybe, just maybe, it resembles a scimitar. This advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener, is in VERY GOOD condition. This advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener, did NOT need cleaning. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Very recently, my visit to the post office produced this figural, advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener. It was included in a group or lot of NON-CUTLERY related items that I purchased. It now becomes my most recent example to be posted under this topic or thread. I did NOT purchase the group or lot to obtain this particular item. However, it DEFINITELY did turn out to be a keeper. It has been added to my cap lifter or bottle opener accumulation. It is a COCA COLA, 3 1/4" long, figural, advertising, all metal, cap lifter or bottle opener. It is ALSO a "PREST-O-LIGHT" key/wrench (3/16" square). It does have a hole for a lanyard, key ring, etc. This cap lifter or bottle opener is shaped like, and the main side depicts, a baseball player. It also says, "PAT'D 8-08-14" The other side says, "CANTON CITY COCA COLA BOTTLING CO. - CANTON CITY, OHIO - drink COCA COLA" This figural baseball player, cap lifter or bottle opener design, was patented by John L. Sommer. This advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener, AND "PREST-O-LIGHT" key/wrench, is in VERY GOOD condition. This advertising, cap lifter or bottle opener, AND "PREST-O-LIGHT" key/wrench, did NOT require any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off.

Can't speak to Stag. Never even heard of it until today. But Falstaff. In my early college days Falstaff was my beer of choice. It came in 14-ounce cans and a six pack was the same price as a 6er of PBR 12-ounce cans. Beer was just as good, and it was like buy 6 and get 1 free. It also mixed well in a Falstaff/Red Ripple "Boilermaker". Hey, I was young and dumb...

To get back on subject, sort of, I do have a few advertising bottle openers, but no vintage ones.

A couple of weeks ago I visited the Shiner Brewery in Shiner, TX. Picked up this 'brewery key' while I was there.

Here in Virginia a beer opener was referred to as a "church key".

Here's one that is different. The dimple in the middle creates a pimple on the back that allows it to spin and point to the next buyer.

Bill. Different places have different nicknames I guess. Around here a church-key is the pointed beer can opener the predates pull tabs. It punched a triangular hole in an old steel beer can top. J.O'.

Yea same here, but the Shiner "Brewery Key" just seemed to fit as wall.
