It's been what we call beautiful here in Minnesota, which is sun and 50 degrees, dropping to 35 or so at night. Snow is pretty much all gone but winter isn't out of the picture yet. We could easily see a spring snow or ice storm before summer sets in for the year._____ Dave

Hang on guys, spring is on the way. I saw it yesterday !
The temp got to 75 yesterday with sunshine and just a few clouds. The buttercups immediately began to bloom just to show their appreciation. The birds were singing and it just plain felt good to be alive.

Spring has sprung in the fair State of Alabama.
Bradford pears have all blossomed, the purple tulip trees are in full swing, the "red bud" trees alongside the Interstates are lavender.
My cherry tree is about to blossom and my flowering purple plum tree is covered. (see below)
Temps 50's at night 70's in the day, rapidly approaching 80's.
Going to be partly cloudy today, rain Thursday and Friday.
I cut and dethatched my front lawn three times yesterday. Filled up seven 45 gallon trash bags with clippings.

Smell or not they sure are pretty and spring has sprung

As Dave (JPD) calls them, the weather guessers are calling for a high of 60º tomorrow and then snow on Sunday. Ahh, Spring in The Great Midwest. Ya gotta love it.

We hit the +50 mark the last 2 days!

That's 70 degrees warmer since Saturday morning.
There is still a good possibility of minus 0 but for now snowmachining at 40-50 is heavenly!

Got in my last day of skiing this year, went to Round Top outside of Dillsburg, PA. They had some fresh snow from yesterday, pretty decent way to wind down the season. The top of one advanced trail was closed and another was close to being closed but the rest of the place had a pretty good now depth. I'm sure they could stay open longer if people were interested in coming. This could be the last weekend for most of the Mid-Atlantic resorts.
Spring is in the air here in Alexandria.

Tornado warnings about 20 miles to the SW last night, but didn't make it here. However more then 1" of hail on the ground did enough to make up for it. No broken windows, but the north ends of the house and porches look like somebody took a shotgun to them. Rain gauge says 2-1/2", not counting whatever melts down from the hail.
They did have confirmed tornadoes on the ground, down a ways into AR and someone said there are pictures being posted on facebook of a water spout on the lake a few miles downstream. Guess it could've been worse, but spring sure is coming in like a lion! Now to call in the insurance company and see how much they're gonna raise my rates after filing a claim.

Well thank you, Jerry!! I'd miss me, too!!
We don't get many tornadoes here close by. On average, maybe 1 every 2 or 3 years. As storms come across the ridge, it tends to stir things up a bit and gets them off track. I think living in a valley is probably a little safer. But of course, if a tornado comes down IN the valley, they aren't overly inclined to crawl out of it either. So, there's always a risk no matter where you are. But I do feel thankful that I'm not living back out on them thar open plains I came from. Or at least not this time of year.

Winter is back here on the farm in Western MD. Had to duck into my old hunting hut to warm up while taking an ATV ride earlier today. Thank God for little propane heaters and a tank that wasn't empty.

32° with a 17° windchill.

Had a little rain here the past few days, and raining more now. I think the drought we've had the past three years is over. This is a pasture this afternoon!
