Good Mornin',edgy46, hope you find some knives today! Rattle the coffee pot maybe the rest of the crew will roll out!
It's raining on the Florida Panhandle. Started around 11:30 last night, still appears to be several hours of it. Miss Joy has a dermatology appointment in Panama City this morning, we'll have to leave a bit earlier because of the rain. Looks like the cooler weather will stay around for several days after the rain clears out. The outside temperature is 48 degrees this morning.
It would be a good day to stay in and have a real lazy day!
Other than the dr. appt. the only thing scheduled is Bible study this evening at the church.
Coffee is about made, the mini-dachshund refused to go out side and got back in one of his beds.
Y'all have a good day! ::tu::

Good morning. It's still cold here but slowly getting warmer. On Sunday they are telling us to expect high 30's and maybe even 40 degrees. That is 70 degrees warmer than it was a couple weeks ago and 60 degrees warmer than last weekend. I was looking for a new can of primer paint at the job site yesterday and couldn't find it. I rode over to the job site with Jason yesterday and didn't have my truck there, so when I got home I checked my truck for the paint and there it was, frozen solid with the top bulging and ready to blow off. I put it in the house in a box near a heating register hoping it was still thawed and usable. Church Bible study tonight with a meal included. Another local church quit giving free Wednesday night meals and ours have been bringing in a good crowd. A few stay for the Bible study or one of the other meetings we offer on Wednesday nights. That's about my world in a nutshell. Have a good Wednesday.____Dave

Its 16 degrees here. Yesterday we were told to expect 5 to 6 inches of snow. But over night we received about an inch or slightly more. Haven't seen the sun in a few days.

Trash day.

Bev rearranged the living room yesterday. With a few small changes, the room looks like it has doubled in size.

A Harris Woodpecker turned up yesterday to have some suet. Its the first time I have ever seen a Harris.

peace & health

Good Morning Everyone!
We're starting out at 11º with a wind chill of -8º. It feels just fine inside so that's
where I will stay today. Have a blessed day and be safe.... :D

Several cups deep and still sitting here stuck in neutral. Its -13 out right now. Too cold for outside activities. Too much caffeine to sit around idle. Too sore from pretending I was a kid yesterday at the trampoline park to do any house work. Too many crazy kids around to do anything leisurely. Wisconsin winter doldrum conundrums for me today.

Morning folks, kinda late to the table. Things seems to keep interrupting me. 18 at daybreak 23 as I hunt and peck. Mayhaps a couple of inches of powder hard to tell as it drifted pretty much. Low tonight in the single digits.
Critters are all fed and the dishes warshed and put away. Old wampus wuz on the tractor seat, it was so cold he wouldn't even hiss.
Dang crackles and Redwing Blackbirds are hogging the feeders, they may wish they'd stayed down south a little longer I know I sure do.
Not much going on, to dang cold for me to be outside any length of time. That wind is coming across aunt Sally's peach orchard and is sharper than a fresh honed pocket knife.
Hope yawl have a good'un, be careful and try to stay warm.
::handshake::

Mornin' guys and gal. The bride and I are all snuggled down in our chairs with a warm throw around each of us. It was 19º when I rolled out this morning and I believe that may be a record low for the date. It is certainly the lowest temp so far this year. It has warmed up to 22º right now. My heater is crankin' and I feel pretty sure I'll not be going outside today other than to feed the birds.
I hope your day is a good one.

That is what Cheryl and I were doing also Ray. I love wrapping up in my quilt that she made. Right now we are still at 17º with a wind chill of 0º.
With that split unit in the garage at least I can still go out there and work even with the car parked in there.

Good morning. Not much planned for the day except some finishing touches on the last job and bill it out. We have one roof to clear off and ice dams to chip off. Jason and Megan will handle that while I do a little paint touch up. Nothing much planned for the weekend either. Maybe I'll poke away at the taxes. Have a good Thursday.____Dave

Good Mornin', early birds!
36° now but probably drop another degree or two before the sunrise. Today's highs in the high 40s, tomorrow at this time we are forecasted to be in the 20s. Yesterday the precipitation lasted all day, not heavy but enough to register 1.1" in the gauge. Nasty weather all around. :(
Workday today, not sure about what we'll be doing but we'll be having a big pot of Great Northern beans with a big ham bone, some pork sausage, collard greens and cornbread for dinner. :)
Y'all have a safe day whatever you're doing!

Morning folks, 12 at days break flurries start around 10 p.m. and was was still at it this morning, high today is supposed to top out around 20. Sol is starting to peek through the clouds.
Critters are fed, wampus hadn't showed up last I looked.
Boots has. Dang birds dang near emptied the big feeders, will have to fill them later. Otherwise I intend to sit by the 🔥.
Sounds like my kind of eating Farmer, the boss made us a big pot of cabbage beef soup, she changed up her recipe put in some sweet Italian sausage, plus the ground chuck, she cooked up some cranberry beans with a big country ham hock and mix all that into a pot of soup, dang it's good.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there and stay warm. ::handshake::

Good morning. A nice warm up is under way here and it already feels good. Yesterday I wasn't paying enough attention walking down a steep driveway at work and stepped on a slippery spot where someone had spun out and I hit the ground with my bad shoulder taking the hit. I'm hoping that it's just bruised and not torn and I can get by with some pain reliever and that it goes away in a day or two. We have a light day at work so that helps. We have our church small group tonight and nothing planned for the weekend. I may drag a hose out and wash the Winter salt off the 4 runner before it does some damage. If I did that any time during the past two months, the vehicle would have been frozen shut. Have a great Friday and weekend.____Dave

Good Mornin', Folks!
Dave, sorry you had an issue with a slippery spot. Praying your self diagnosis is correct. ::pray:: We probably shouldn't mention we're about to freeze to death 'cause it's 27° this morning. Every day I'm amazed at the low temperatures folks endure in our world and realize that our "cold weather" really isn't cold weather. ::hmm::
Had a good workday yesterday, got the old woods cart to a repair shop that we just learned about. The old feller that we bought our cart from over 15 years ago was a genius at his trade but is no longer in business. A dude, just a couple of miles from us, advertises golf cart repair but when we took the woods cart to him, he said, "I can't work on one that old." ::shrug:: It appeared our only options were either in Panama City Beach or Dothan, AL. We heard of a young man in Cottondale, just 10 miles east, that could do the work. We delivered it and felt good about the man. ::tu:: I hesitate to mention how cold it seemed to be yesterday with the north wind. We Floridians just can't hack it! ::dead_horse::
Those Great Northern beans were so good at yesterday's dinner!
Coffee was good this morning, the sun is bright and there is no wind. 3 days of modern rifle season left, including today. Then 7 days of M/L season, still looking for old "big boy". ::nod::
Y'all have a great day. ::tu::

Morning folks, 6 deg. at daybreak Nikki Dee sez it could hit the mid 30 by afternoon, of course that's in Nashville, we generally run a few degrees cooler up here on the rim. If the wind stays calm it'll feel like a heat wave. Sure glad to see these daylight hours getting longer.
Outside critters are fed, wampus was here for a change.
Buddies day at Hooters, and the a run to bjs and TSC. The birds have ate up all the black oil sunflower seeds, so a resupply is in order.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there.

It is 11 degrees and sunny. I believe this is the longest stretch of cold weather I have experienced in these parts.

3 male and 3 female Cardinals have chosen to spend the winter with us. I wonder if they would raise their families here in the Spring. We have only got 5 acres here and I suspect that won't provide sufficient territory for all of them. Each year we do have 1 pair successfully raise their young.
