Morning folks, 73 the low, mid 80's for the high, scattered pop-ups predicted. Yestiddy afternoon I watched the radar on my phone all kinds of rain headed our way, the boss and I were almost giddy thinking we weren't gonna have to water our plants, didn't happen it just petered out the closer it got to us. We did get a nice drop in temperature from 91 to 74.
Looks like we've had another tragic flash flood, this time in the village of Ruidoso NM. Man and 2 children lost there lives. Praying for the folks there. 🙏
Wampus was in attendance this morning.
Don't know what I'll get into today, pulled weeds and grass out of the flower beds and quite a bit weedeating Yestiddy and put down some roundup in places , sure is hard to keep ahead of weeds and junk grasses, may get the ZT out if we don't get a pop-up but would rather wait till tomorrow.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

Good late morning Dinner’s,
Nice catch on the crack or the hair Dave. I really had to look but saw what you were talking about.

Good Morning. Wonderful news about Jane.

Tomorrow I will reconnect with the VA. I last used the VA about 30 years ago and was pleased to discover they still had me in the system. I will be interested to see how my local VA compares to my experiences with the Hawai'i and Arizona VAs.

Weather has been mostly high humidity without rain.

Morning, FCD!
Looking at a high of 89* with much sun here in the Missouri Ozarks. Was the wife's birthday yesterday. We dropped our little dog off for cancer treatments and went to Johnnie Morris' Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, Missouri. If you haven't been there, GO! Absolutely incredible displays of animals and fish. Lots of history!
Today, wife has to go see a friend who's having trouble with her mother and her cancer. Seems the mom has become very cranky and is lashing out at those helping her. It's been rough for everyone involved. I might get mowing in and maybe some computer baseball later.
Y'all be safe be alert and be careful out there!

Good Mornin', the diner is open! ::handshake::
74° this clear morning, we recorded our highest so far this year yesterday, 96°. No rain or even distant thunder yesterday.
Yesterday I commented about upgrading Miss Joy's health care suppliment. Our agent called yesterday morning and sadly told us that type of upgrade is no longer available. The company said they now have to write a new policy based on her current age, 80. The cost for that would be more than what both our hospitalization policies cost now. ::shrug:: Still searching.
I have a shoulder shot scheduled this morning so my half of workday is not happening. Miss Joy's helper will still be coming.
Didn't get to the lawn mowing yesterday like I had hoped.
Sittin' here drinking coffee and watching a couple of cottontaisl in the front yard, no deer this morning, yet.
Y'all enjoy the day!

Nothing new or startling here in Dixie. Got the weedeating and grass cut after work yesterday morning.
I looked like a two-legged ball of grass when I was done ... ::mdm::

On the road today; taking the car in for service and then a dermo checkup in B'ham.

Yawl stay cool ...

A walk on the beach this am is already in the past and now I’m inside to do some knife cleaning, photographing and listing in my AAPK store. I’m also helping my knife making class instructor build a website for his business, I’ll probably mess around with that some today too! Hope everyone has a terrific Thursday! ::handshake::

Good morning. Cool pictures Tom. I've never been as far as either ocean. Lake Superior is the biggest water I've seen. I'll be taking Jane in to get the staples taken out of her neck in a few hours. Phil, I feel for you about the insurance. Our policy has paid everything Jane and I have faced except for a few things our Dr's thought were covered but weren't, and they were fairly minor, a few hundred dollars, compared to what the whole procedure cost, but our house and vehicle insurances gave us a good run for my money. Medical stuff sure is worse because it's ongoing at our age and hits us more direct than house or car stuff. I get unhinged buying groceries and hardware at ridicules prices. Jane's surgeon said he is going to try to drop in at Her appointment, likely to tell her if the cancer experts he was conferring with think any radiation or chemo might still be needed just in case some cells remain or might come back. Hopefully today will be the last step in this mess except for the monthly checks to watch for re occurrences. Jason is finishing up our latest job today and I don't have a clue where we are heading tomorrow. I might just take the day off and piddle around the house. Have a good Thursday.____Dave

Morning folks, 70 the low heading to the mid 80's, threatened rain all day yestiddy but never got to Ole Homer's homestead. I've already drug that old hose all over the place this morning, even got a slight sprinkle while doing so. Chance of pop-ups again.
Wampus and the bunnies were here this morning Wampus looked at the small bunny and seemed about ready to pounce but it ran into the burn pile.
Shoulder therapy this morning and then grass cutting this afternoon.

Good Morning Everyone!
Looks like a rather quite day here in Ponder. I have a very tedious woodburning art project going right now so that's what I'll be working on most of the day. Have a blessed day and stay safe.... :D

Dave I'm praying that the experts conclude no more treatment is necessary and Jane will have a chance to fully recover.

Here is a look at the project I'm working on for a teacher in the FFA organization in Comfort, TX.

Good Mornin', y'all rise and shine!
74° this morning, no rain again yesterday. Made my trip to get my shoulder shot yesterday without incident. Regular gas was $2.749 in Panama City.
The yard grass is calling my name, life got in the way the earlier part of the week. ::shrug::
We went out in the backyard last night and watched the full moon rise through the pines, it was a bit hazy at first but clear enough to notice the moon's movement upwards. :)
Our oldest daughter is hoping to come for a few days next week.
Coffee is good, the day has begun!

Good morning. David, thanks for the prayers. The FFA design you are working on took me back to high school years being in FFA and AG classes. My old FFA corduroy jacket with that logo covering much of the back of the jacket was around the house for years. That was over 60 years ago or yesterday as I've lived it. It's hard to realize that our summer is already half over. Yesterday I saw Jason hauling the snow shovels to another shed where they weren't in the way so much. I'm picturing him hauling them back in a few weeks. Jane's appointment to get the staples out went smooth and after that we met her brother and SIL for a nice birthday meal at the Olive Garden. Jason didn't get everything done at work yesterday so we'll be heading back there to finish it up today. The Festival of sail boats is in Duluth this weekend and the harbor is full of big sailboats and one huge rubber duck. We got a good view from the 3rd floor hospital room where they took Jane's staples out. The rubber duck which is the size of the bigger sailboats floating across the bay made the whole scene look like an elaborate kids play set. I'm off to feed the chickens and get to work. Have a good Friday.____Dave

Morning folks, 69 was the low Nikki Dee sez low 90's later, with a chance of pop-ups for the next week or so.
I'd like one pop-up over the old homestead to give the boss and l a waterhose break. we got it done again this morning. Whew.
Therapy on this old shoulder was a little tough on this old man yestiddy but I got through it. I'm trying to keep from getting one of those shots, as they mess up my blood pressure some more.
Got the grass laid by for another week or so.
Buddies day at Hooters always interesting time. I get free wings today for my upcoming bd.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::

I'm meeting with a lady this afternoon that runs one of the large antique stores in Denton. I'm taking a
few pieces of my woodburning art for here to see if it is something she would like to sell in her store.
Have a blessed day and be safe.... :D

Went to the VA yesterday and met the daughter of GIL HIBBEN. This lady, the doctor's assistant, asked me about hobbies and as soon as I mentioned knives she identified herself.

Mr. Hibbens is a resident of Ky, as it turns out. That is as close as I came to greatness yesterday.

Good Saturday Mornin'!
70° and clear this morning, sun is hitting the tops of the tall pines west ofthe house. 92° yesterday, a small shower came by about 9:30 last evening.
Still have the south yard to do this morning. Noticed the bee man had moved his bee hives to another location, now I can mow that small clearing there by Bee Branch without taking a chance of aggravating the little critters. ::nod::
Coffee is being poured, the day is about to officially start.
Y'all have a good one! ::tu::

Good morning. Men's prayer group in a few minutes so I gotta get this slow moving lap-top to move a little faster. It's a rainy drizzly day up here this morning and I suspect it's an all day event. I've got nothing else planned for the day anyway so it's all good. I wonder how Tom and Silvia are doing? Have a good weekend.____Dave

It looks like we may get a little rain here. And of all things the weather service has issued a
flash flood warning for parts of North Texas in low areas and small creeks and rivers. I'm not going
anywhere except my garage workshop. Have a blessed day and be safe... :D

I had what my grandpa used to call "the big eye" last night. Consequently, I'm dragging anchor a bit this morning. I dozed off for just a bit then woke up and was unable to get back to sleep until after 5 AM. That, ladies and gentlemen, is not fun and often requires a nap to realign the universe. You have to be very careful though, because too much nap can cause the cycle to repeat itself.

We are scheduled to meet my daughter and SIL for lunch today at Red Lobster. I have not been to a Red Lobster in years so I'm looking forward to getting a cheddar biscuit. ::super_happy::

Morning folks, 72 for the low, the high is predicted to hit the low 90's with heat index near 100. Slight chance of scattered storms some may get rowdy.
Wampus was in attendance giving me the stink eye.
We hit the ground running again got things watered before it got to hot.
Fried up some bacon and had us some bacon and fresh ripe tomaters from our pots. Made for a fine samidge.
I'll get the trash together in a bit and get it to the dumpster recycle bins. Got some cardboard boxes from a Sam's order to break down.
Might stop a the flea, more just to see some old school buddies that might be there or not, us older folk don't care much for the heat don'tcha know.
Good lord knows I don't need any more junk.
Philco hope yawl enjoy the Red lobster, I favor them biscuits my on self.
Hope yawl have a good'un and be careful out there. ::handshake::
