A long line scout knife this time. It's shined up some since I have been carrying it. Thanks for asking.20240828_111944.jpg20240828_111900.jpg

Nice D.L. ::tu:: ::tu:: ... ::hmm:: I reckon' the only thing better than that for EDC, might could be a "Short-Line" scout knife
I considered that but decided I wouldn't mind losing a long line as I would a short line.

Carried one for a while, useful tool to have. Traded up to a SAK ALOX Mini Champ.
Not cheap, but much smaller with a couple more implements ....

Nice!! I do have a Mini Champ, but it's not Alox. An older Red one. It is a useful tool, but hardly ever carry it. I carry the regular Vic SD in my watch pocket every day though. Mainly for the tooth pick and little scissors. ::handshake:: :)

Helene cleanup carry (pretty much ever since Saturday Morning--Friday was some of the worst weather I've ever experienced).
KIMG0985.JPG
Alongside my trusty Jet Rocket camper's axe and an Oregon aluminum felling wedge from the '70s.

The Solitaire was in my pocket as much as possible in the dark. We had no power from 5 AM Friday to 6:30 PM today.

I was surprised today when I used the Jet Rocket to cut a heavy limb off a fence. The limb was probably 8-10 in. in diameter and the little (2.5 lb. I think) hatchet ate it for lunch.

The felling wedge is pretty nice as it's light enough to carry in my back pocket, but strong enough to be hammered into mostly-cut limbs to break them apart (as to prevent pinched bars, saw-blades, and axe bits).
