I'm with you on the 6275, love a moose! You keep the hatchet but send me the fixed blade, those handles are beautiful. ::tu:: What pattern and era is the Case?

Buddy I traded with had emailed with Case:Zippo , authentic 40’s fish scaler, good possibility it’s the original edge. It does have a long crack on one side, but I agree those handles are beautiful. Some of the nicest I’ve owned - for age, thx Tim

Here are my latest 2 case pickups along with a case barlow that I've had a few months. The barlow is really well put together and renewed my excitement for case so I bought this sodbuster Jr and the hunter. Alas they are both typical case quality with plenty of gaps, no half stops. Case describes the hunter as a large knife for heavy duty use in the field. That's a joke. I suppose it's unfair to compare the case hunter to others costing 3 times as much but my hunters from Queen and AG Russell are soo much better than the case. Apparently case is incapable of cutting a right angle on the blade end of the backspring which bad run up, wobble, and pings the end of the spring. Come on case! I have said it before that I would gladly pay double for a case knife put together well. ::shrug::

I wanted to show a few closeups of the Case sodbuster Jr, and Jumpstart the Case threads again. It's been too quiet here compared to the other threads. I really like the color and deep jigging texture of this one.

I picked up this Case XX stockman at the local flea market this weekend for a few bucks. It is a 6318HE. One thing you may notice is that the previous owner LOVED that sheepsfoot blade. In fact it looks like the only blade that was used. That's OK, I really prefer to use the clip or pen blade anyway. Should be able to straighten that up with the Lansky. Now it is in my pocket as an EDC.

After doing some work with the Lansky I was able to reprofile the mutilated sheepsfoot into a cope type blade.
