If you have to settle that's the way to do it.

Very nice Brookie, G-Dogg! What type of fly were you using? Do you tie your own flies?

Question for you fur traders- what's a good, easy way to tan a hide? I have a raccoon hide I skunk recently and packed with salt. Thanks!

The one with the mannlicher stock has been in the family for a while now, it's an awesome piece.
And the Deluxe was a good friend's father's only gun.
They have definitely improved the collection.

Here is another rifle that I have really fallen in love with.
It was my grandfather's rifle. He never kept a gun for long, but this one was in his safe for the last seven years or so.
I bought it off my Mom after he passed away.

Ruger 22-250.
The form of this rifle is so natural.

Nice old Ruger M77 Johnny, the "blue bolt" version; I have one of those my wife gave me as a gift during the first year we were married - it is a .270 WIN, nice and accurate, I still own it - won't part with it - it has killed some deer since 1978. Just finished loading up my gear - got Special Olympics with my daughter this morning, then heading to Darlington SC for a couple of days of turkey hunting with some buddies. Be back on Friday night - hope to have some trophy pictures to post (in my mind every tom is a trophy!) OH

Thanks guys.
OH, be safe on your trip and have an awesome time. My rifle has a special place in my heart, as does your's for you. That's an awesome story to share, it's really cool that you still hunt with it too.
My cousin just participated in the Special Olympics and it was awesome to see all the people out to support it.
