Thank you, sir. They did a nice job on these. It's actually Delrin. I believe Camillus made this one.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 8:08 pm Toomanyknives, thanks for your comment.
The jigging on your Craftsman looks awesome to me. What a beautiful knife.

That's today, but we only got about half an inch, not bad at all. Most of it already melted so we're not fighting much. Thanks for the compliment.
Thanks Woodwalker, BHomer, and doglegg, and Marco, appreciate it.

Been carrying this easy open little guy (2 5/8") in the watch pocket of my jeans since I picked him up at a flea market on Saturday. Great snap. Been using him to open my mail. No name or number on it that I can see. Afraid to think what might be lurking under those scales.
Thanks for looking,
Chris J.

Today's carry knives are two I repaired and rehandled. Schrade 123ot with new Statue of Liberty blade and antler handles. The other just some knife I cleaned up and rehandled.

That's the same frame they used for the farmers jacks and farmers whittler Joe.
I'll be carrying this one for a while, a GEC 821224 ( an S with a chip out of the bone) after retirement of the GEC 818318 which at 4 1/8" was just a little much. I carried a USA Case 6347 PU for about a year previously until I lost it weed eating, wearing short pocketed pants. I don't seem to need 3 blades as much as I used to.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
You know one thing I have learned here is that is doesn't have to be new looking and shiny to be appreciated. I have picked up a few knives in the last couple of months that are not big name collector knives, but I liked them for whatever reason. And honestly the only person that they need to please is me. I know it sounds funny, but it makes me feel better when I buy what I like instead of what I think someone else is going to like. Having said all of that, you have a nice looking knife there.PringleTree wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:13 am Been carrying this easy open little guy (2 5/8") in the watch pocket of my jeans since I picked him up at a flea market on Saturday. Pardon my ignorance, but I never really thought about rehandling a knife. That's an interesting idea. I need to learn more about this.

Nice Queen Steel. I had my Queen trapper with me yesterday. Not a big fan of trapper style knives, but they are growing on me.

Well said, and I agree 100%. I actually like the look of those cell scales on it, but I don't trust them.NCC1701 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 4:51 pmYou know one thing I have learned here is that is doesn't have to be new looking and shiny to be appreciated. Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I am perplexed, I can't figure what happened to the 821224 last night. While looking for it , I found the Case 6347PU and 2 more inside the recliner?

Many of your knives have those warm brown bones, John, it makes them a real pleasure to view.1967redrider wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 1:26 pm Awesome Whittler, toomany, and sweet duo, Ivory. Cool EO, Chris.![]()
