YUP!! puttin' you up on the stage my friend.....
So I send this guy a LB-BIY kit, one blade, one spring two liners and a butt plate...
And naturally, all the rivets possibly needed to assemble this knife...
I also sent him some 80 year old Abalone Pearl found by me in the cellar's of Colonial's factory...
Now this kit doesnot come with bolster's so Joe makes his own hand made bolster's and spacers from solid brass and here's the outcome.."OUTSTANDING" in my eyes.....

Just picked up my first Coyote five bucks,love the steel in this blade

Nice little score for the money my friend!!
The Coyote line was one quality down from the black handled nickel barrel plated bolster
LB line consisting of the LB-125, 95, and the LB-85....
This baby was our CY-15, the smaller 4" was the 14, and the little 3" was the CY-13....
The CY's were still a good quality knife, blanked in .095, 1075 High Carbon steel and could still take a beating!! They had a barrel brass plated liner and bolster's and still stood up to punishment!!

Another important difference for the two was the blade grinding...The LB line had a satin finished blade where as the CY series were ground with our new Synthetic grinding wheels.
VERY SHARP!!!!

I doubt I still have a green leather sheath for you but I'll look around! No promises; no charge either..

Hey pal, glad you like that work horse...couldn't find the original cheaper leather sheath for it but would you like a better black leather sheath for it????

I have been enjoying this thread for some time now. I finally got ambitious and dug out all the Colonials I could find on short notice.

I remember buying the LB-95 new sometime in the early 80's. I used to carry it when I worked as a janitor at a hospital as a teenager. I used that knife alot.

From left to right : # 66W, a rare # 1200 white Forest Master, # 650 large stock, old
# DC-2621, # DC-1950, and old # DC-350. # 1405 Swiss, and an ad spec. # 85 W...
The bottom starts with two # 4801's, hot die stamp, and the other two I believe are not Colonial's..the last one looks like a small Case folder, and these Master blades do not look
like Colonial's. I have been wrong from time to time but I think I'm pretty close...

These are both Colonial's...the small two blade is a white handled "Midget", surface imprinted and the fruit knife # 701 is hot die stamped...the logo is just a customer's
ad specialty preference....
We sold millions of these to Dole Banana, and Dole Pinnapple for many years!
The smaller version of our fruit knife is the # 601, your choice of straight or serrated edge.
The older models of fruit knifes had solid NS bolster's on each end..
