All About Pocket Knives

RR 2640 slip joint today.
These slip joints with across the room snap are very good knives for the money. I got this one from SMKW for under $20. I liked it so much I decided to buy a few more as gifts for my brothers and sons, but the price had jumped up to $28
I then found them at Chicago Knife Works for $18

Can't seem to lose this one. Dropped off my pay-per-[pund esh and dry laundromat yesterday
and she told me I had 3 bonuses.....and one was this knife and the other a 20 dollar bill!!!

This knife has become one of my favorite EDCs. The QSP Parrot, it's low priced, made in China, and I originally bought it out of curiosity but it turned out to be 26 dollars very well spent. I carry it often.

This Dollar Knife Company jack with bloodwood handles, made by Cooper Cutlery Co., using old machinery from Queen/Schatt&Morgan.

It’s a startup company I chose to support in my small way.

Fit and finish could not possibly be better.

What era was you Dad's Case Trapper made? I'm a bit puzzled by the federal shield. Being as old as I am, it's easy to get puzzled or for that matter confused. Knifes from our fathers are always a special prize. August 20 was the anniversary of my dad's passing back in '79.
The Keen Kutter is a prize, too!

Hi Phillip. That Case Trapper was made in 2005. It's a Case Brothers trapper with a Federal shield. My dad had lost his pocket knife and I told him not to buy another because Fathers Day was right around the corner. I gifted him that Trapper. He carried it for years. When he passed in 2018, I was cleaning his house out and found it in his dresser drawer. I put it in my pocket and carry it on occasion. Usually his birthday or on Thankgiving Day. I think the Chestnut bone is nice. I agree, our fathers knives mean the world to us. It will always be my fathers knife to me!

D2 They are great knives, Charlie, I have a few in different scale and shield colors.
