At just over 3", it's perfect. Most of the time, a penknife is perfectly adequate for "around the house" type chores--this one, even moreso due to the screwdriver.

However, it mostly lives in the display case with my small collection of local (mostly coal industry) advertising knives.

I wanted to carry this Remington yesterday, but it's a Sheepsfoot, not a Wharncliffe.

Based on past experiences they eat more as they explore and grow . And when they come home from college breaks You almost need to lock the pantry and fridge ! And now you have me wanting some Kringle !!
