Just kidding, Fingers. But, it's a little of both. There were some very nice knives made under the Parker name, but I think a lot of
people weren't pleased with what he did during his tenure as owner of Case. There are people here that know much better than I,
so I won't step on any toes by speculating, but this is what I have heard more than once, let's say..

I had a feeling because the knives are excellent and I’d read a few off putting comments. I mean even today on the used market there are plenty of like new excellent patterns that are selling for inexpensive prices.

He was also very well respected by many, so that's why I don't want to start any wars by repeating rumors, as I did not know him personally. I'm all about good knives at cheap prices though, so I say go for as many as you can find!!
