Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

A nice EO with the Sword Brand stamp on the spear and a four line on the pen. Half stops and strong snap...it doesn't get any better.

New find for me, been looking for a long time, a bone handled pony jack, 21 pattern.

Image
Late 40's vintage possibly?

Image
Dark red Rogers bone?

Image
Stamp has a lone line under Camillus, similar to this 1946 catalog version.

Nice EO Jack Welder Bob! ::tu::

That tang stamp is usually dated about 1960 to the mid 1970s (usually 1976).
Nice example in excellent condition! ::tu:: ::tu::

Woops, I missed an era on the stamp. Short line, no line, then long line. Surprised they snuck bone back into the handles, but I have a 69 with red bone handles too, with this same stamp. Thanks Dale.

Hi there. New to the forum. I've loved Camillus knives for a long time and really hate they're gone. The new Camillus just isn't the same. I've had this CCC for about 10 years now and love it. Have thought about selling it when the hard times visited now and then, but just don't want to part with them. The original boxes are in the back of the cabinet and have the key.

Welcome to AAPK.

Very desirable set. No wonder you can't bring yourself to let them go. Thanks for showing them.

I have no idea of it's value. When I bought the set Camillus was still in business.
I loved the CM 715Y, lockback and carried one until someone would want to buy it. Sold several that way. Now I don't have one and saw on ebay where one sold for 50 bucks and change. I miss the original yello-jakets!
My daily carry is a Camillus 885 out of its sheath. Didn't see much reason for a knife that small to have a sheath, but it came with it.
I have a Case Limited Edition Series I in a display case also. I used to collect Case but now favor Camillus and Queen Steel. Even when collecting Case I had a strong feeling for Camillus and it was my favorite to carry.

I got this Camillus #707Y Yello-Jaket yesterday in the POS Roundtable.
It was introduced in 1991. Camillus called it the Double Loc-Back Copperhead.
3-3/4” closed with a 2-7/8’ clip blade and a 2-7/8” scalloped Turkish clip secondary blade. It was listed in the 1994 catalog but was gone by the 1996 catalog.
There was also a version with the India Stag (Delrin) handles called the 707S.

Thank you oldgoat1911. ::tu::

There's a CCC-3 on ebay that is new, nothing about box or paperwork, near mint, with free shipping, $69.00.

I am sorry for my English. I am interested in the retail price for CCC-3 in 1993. On your display space for price sticker is empty.

Your English is quite good, no apology necessary. I have searched for the price sticker in the cabinet and it is not there. I don't know what the price was in 1993 as I bought the set from another collector, not from a dealer and it was missing then. Someone here can probably chime in and help.

Well y'all lucked out. I just happen to have access to a 1993 Camillus price list and according to it, the suggested retail for a C3 was $57.50
