It's best not to pick your nose when it's below zero. You just might break the dang thing off.

It's chilly here too. Anything above zero is still considered chilly. Below zero is cool. 30 below is cold. 50 below is "I should have plugged the car in". What do you find in clean noses? Finger prints.___Dave

It's up to 40 degrees here, been raining steady since early morning. Just finished putting new roof on the house yesterday, just in time. Been walking around the house looking to see if any leaks.

I cant remember when we could not get out after a big snow but the media is making it seem like we may not be able to for weeks.. IDIOTS!!!!! On a good note.. I may have a snow blower lined up.. Yeah, I heard one broadcaster from out east somewhere say that with all the snow coming, make sure you had an ice scraper and plenty of batteries on your car. I can't help but wonder what she planned to do with a box of batteries. I suppose the ice scraper is to dig herself out of a snowbank with. Also Washington DC is running out of toilet paper. Do they usually buy toilet paper only as needed for the day so they can't last two days. Maybe they poop alot more when it snows.___Dave

Dave.. For as long as I can remember, here in Pittsburgh.. Any time they are calling for snow, the people here got to the grocery store for toilet paper, milk, bread.. Its unreal... John

Started snowing here about 11am and around 3" or so on the ground.The weather terrorist are calling up 10-14".Mid 20s°and wind from the East 10-15 mph.Perfert snow conditions.

Snow started here about 4 am and it hasn't let up yet. Forecast says it will snow till tomorrow morning some time. I have no idea how many inches of snow we have because it's blowing and drifting making it impossible to measure. I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere for the next couple of days. Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.

So far we got about 8-10in and still snowing pretty good.. And the snow blower didn't happen!! I guess I gotta sell some knive and buy one!! John

18" on the ground already and it won't stop until after sunset. Been out twice already with the Jeep and she's doing great. My driveway is 1,000' long with a 13 degree grade so it takes some planning and strategy. I think 2 more runs will knock it down enough to get an ambulance or fire truck in here if needed. I'll take pictures the next time I'm out, stay tuned.

We have 12+ inches with drifts over 2 feet deep so I got a chance to Christen my new XC gear. Ended up doing 3.9 mile tour of my hood here in the West end of Alexandria. Still snowing, looking forward to going back out.

Got up before 5:30 this morning to watch the Hahnenkamm FIS Alpine men's downhill from Kitzbühel which was actually delayed so we got to see Lindsey Vonn break the women's downhill record from Cortina until the Hahnenkamm got underway.

Yes, I like skiing and here's some pictures for proof from beginning to end. Was out in it for 2 1/2 to 3 hours and it was a blast! I love the snow!!!

Well.. Snow stopped.. Got 10in here and most of my snow cleaning done.. One more property to clean but that's for tomorrow..

And... Got a new snowblower (Toro) given to me by a friend who owns a shopping center.. He bought 6 blowers last fall and he gave me one!! YEEEE-HAWWW!!!

To all of yinz who really got pounded you have my sympathy!! Take care and please be careful!!!

And just like that it's back to dumping just as hard as it was last night. My brother texted me the t.v. totals around 2:00. When I bought my condo I didn't realize it was slopeside.

No snow here on the Gulf Coast, thermometer said 47, brrrrrrrr
