A while back, I posted a couple of pics of my Imperial Frontier stockmans from 1984. I always chose Ole Red, just because it always felt better in my hand for some reason. I just wanted to clarify, Ole Red wasn't always Ole Red. Years ago, I got bored with the fact that they were both brown and identical and I always preferred the red bone look to a pocketknife. So, I gave it a simmering Rit Dye bath in deep red. After about 30 minutes or so, it came out looking exactly as I had hoped. I love the way it looks and has been my favorite ever since. I wanted to make a point to everyone that it is not a rare factory color or anything like that. That was my own customization. I will never sell it or give it away. Whatever happens to it after I'm gone is not up to me. Just putting it out there for anyone who might wonder or be under the assumption that it was a scarce variety they should be looking for. Hope this clears up any misunderstandings or question marks. Cheers. Carry on.

Totin' a new one en route to Cumberland for Christmas with our families and friends. This is something like Burnt Lizard Skin, for Wharncliffe Wednesday Christmas Eve.

Grandkids will be opening gifts later today, so I have my old "beater" Colonial Hammer Brand for plastic ties, blister paks, etc. In my other pocket for show will be this Western States cattle knife.
