Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I carried a Buck 303 (by Schrade) from 1968 to 1975. On a beautiful day while quail hunting I took a break to sit in the soft grass to clean a few birds. That’s where I left the knife.
The following week I replaced it with what I assumed was an identical Buck 303. It turns out it was made by Camillus. It has a single liner on each side. I’ve carried that (now this) knife every day for 51 years.
Sometime during that period I reshaped the clip blade to a drop point. The spey blade is now more like a pen blade. And I reshaped the sheepsfoot so it has a single bevel. The scales are worn absolutely smooth.
I have a lot of knives; many more than my wife would dare to imagine. This is the one I drop into my pocket every morning.

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Great story sir!! 2 knives for 51 years!! That is cool to me!! The knife I've had the longest, I've had for only 25 years. But, I haven't carried it for 25 years. It amazes me when someone has carried a single knife for so long!dlidster wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 11:26 pm I carried a Buck 303 (by Schrade) from 1968 to 1975.
