Can you spot the discrepancies .. .. .. ?
::hmm:: That Sheepfoot secondary looks odd to me, and was this mystery pattern made in Delrin?

Well, the secondary blade should be a pen blade, not a sheepsfoot. But, I like it!

Here's a cool old one I picked up at a flea market yesterday. It was painted totally ROYAL BLUE!! Yes, you read that properly. It was so rusty, I had to scrape the tang to see what it was. This is what I found underneath! A Challenge Cutlery Co. Bridgeport Cigar Jack with great bone handles! If you look very closely, I left a smidge of the blue paint on the edge of the shield, and a bit on the pile side on the top left. You can't see it until I blew up the pictures.

Walk and talk is still awesome, half stops work great, and it is sharp as can be. And what patina! Man, I love old knives!

One blade is stainless, the other one is not stainless ::hmm::
Y'all are pretty slick. The main is stainless while the secondary is carbon. And I have it on
good authority from Mr Phieffer that Case never made this pattern with a sheepsfoot secondary.
Someone did a good job of cobbling it together ....

Hey fingers,

I'm pretty sure MGC was the name of the original company. It was the last initial of each partner.
When Ken Griffey (the current owner) purchased it from the partners in 2004 it became Bear and Son.

Thanks. I guess I was just too lazy to look it up myself. In another post I learned they used a dot system for dating the year of manufacture. For example, this one has 7 stars subtracted from a base year of 2020 puts its year at 2013.

Yep. Ken Griffey used to work for Case. He took that method with him to Bear and Son.
