Now we have a Colonial thread,Show'em

Colonial Knife was incorporated in 1926 by three brothers; Antonio, Domenic, & Fredrick Paolantonio. It grew to become one of the largest pocket knife manufacturers in the US during the 1960s. The company shut down in 1998, but was back into production under the Colonial Cutlery International Corporation in 2001. Colonial Cutlery International, Inc. brand is the imported line of knives and tools while the U.S.A.- made products fall under the Colonial Knife brand.

Oh crap.....I'm wrong...it's not a shell knife...they are iron bolsters!!! Are the handles delrin Bobby?

I don't think so pal, just very hard plastic! I'm not sure we even used Delrin that long ago....Both these knives are from the late 40's, early 50's.!!
Also, look at the bolster's where they meet the handle...the shrinkage?? Delrin doesn't shrink like that.... ::super_happy::

I just noticed on yours....no center rivet!! It's under the shell so it's definately a shell knife! Pay attention Bob!! ::facepalm::

Interesting Scott, but not impossible....the handles were clearly pinned on to the liners prior....no visible center pin proves that for sure. Look close and see if that liner is under those bolster's?? Sometimes they would make a full liner like this and apply the bolster's on top of the flat liner under the bolster..if you can send a pic of the back and front, we'll know for sure! ::hmm:: ::hmm::
Thanks pal, Bob P. ::handshake::

Excellent pic buddy...this is exactly what I wanted to see....
See the liner underneath the bolster??
I wouldn't consider this a shell knife but the handles were pined on to the liner's and
the bolster's were applied after! Nice find... ::tu:: ::tu::

Hello Kasey!! I'm a bit exhausted from attending the NCCA Mystic knife show but I can definately help you with this.... ::hmm::
It's one of ours for sure! An old Colinial Knife company's attempt many years ago for an easy open, one blade pocket knife.. ::uc:: It looks like a Trapper but it's not.

It's Cat # was 721, single blade with plastic old time brown stained jigged bone.
The long pull and solid NS bolster's and main assembly pin are a clear sign to me as an old one...We started this style in the mid to late 60's and it eventually evolved into a shell knife with just two top hollow steel bolster's. We probably made this style for 15-20 years and sold tons of them. Although, yours is older and beat-up a bit but it may fetch $ 10 to $ 25.00 !!
Nice find my friend; glad I could help... ::handshake::

OK Folks....WE'RE BACK!!!!!
The "32nd,Annual NCCA Extravaganza Knife Show" was an absolute hit!!! ::tu:: ::tu::
Saw many old friends, made lots of new friends, and it seemed to us that many of the show people were very glad that myself and Colonial Knife were there!! ::ds::

We sold books, parts, knives and the big hit of the show was conceived and produced by me and my pal, Mr. Joe K of "Royal Pines Cutlery"!! ::woot:: ::woot::
Here's a few shots for now and many more to come!!!
Bop P., my pretty wife Joann, and other folks....
Extra thanks to our best friends Glenn and Missy Chalifoux that help us pull it all together... ::handshake:: ::handshake::

No problem my new friend....I can identify almost any Colonial knife ever produced and I am here at your disposal any time, as I am here for the whole family of AAPK..

Thanks Scott; the show was FANTASMIC !!! ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds::
Here's the most ironic thing...my brother Dave who left the Colonial disaster many years ago and obtained his Masters Degree went on to bigger and better things, came down to the show on Sunday.... ::uc::
He bought a few raffle tickets for me and himself and don't you know, my brother hit!! They presented him with the prize, took his picture and as humbled as he was, he came right back to us and our table and handed it to me!!!!!!!!!!! ::facepalm::

This is what my treasured brother David gave to me folks......

Better pics to come from this beauty!! 3 1/2" of MOP, and 1 1/2" wide.....that's over 100 bucks in material alone!!! Fit and finish...OUTSTANDING!!!

Here's a quick pic of one of the NCCA's finest, Board of Directors, Mr. Arthur Green..
People like this made this whole thing possible, and have done so for years and many years to come God willing...

Very nice pal!! Our old # 2632 two blade jack...
Even though it's a shell knife it's in beautiful shape, probably
made in the late 50's and the long pull on the master blade
is a dead give away!! It's a keeper for sure.. ::tu:: ::tu::
