Been a busy harvest and not much time to carve. Christmas ornaments I carved for the grandkids. They're supposed to be Christmas lights.

Neat piece. Balsa is a pain to whittle due to the grain, all details have to be sanded in almost.

Little project I did yesterday with some paint sticks from Home Depot. Fully functional and has good walk and talk.

Carved a skinny snow man Christmas Eve. Still have to paint it

Also carved another tree light and a happy little Christmas tree. Used my Case seahorse whittler on all of these.

That is extremely impressive. I suppose the soft wood of the paint sticks would be easy to work with, but they are so thin? Is that a "tang stamp" of your initials, or am I seeing things?

Yes sir, I burned the “stamp” with my initials. I cheat these and scroll saw out the basic shapes and thin and adjust the spring and profile the blade with a knife.

This is based off a Case mini trapper, has great walk and talk and half stop too.
