Sweet Jumbo, David. I was surprised at how popular cider was in Ireland. Also interesting was the fact you could buy half pints. I could imagine ordering a half pint at a bar here . . .
I think I would have to order 2 half pints at a time
Sounds like the best plan!

I tried the Maple Oatmeal and the Pumpkin Spice so far, liked them both. The Pumpkin Spice wasn't over the top spiced, and I was happy about that. I already know I like the Vienna Lager, will have to try the Coffee.
Devil's Backbone started out as a Virginia craft brewery but was bought up by one of the big beer conglomerates.

No posts in a week, the beer thread was getting flat. You can't eat pizza without beer . . . and a Benchmade Boguszewski Spike, with the Mrs.

Going with a hi-test brew my sister gave me for Christmas and a Christmas present -028. Pretty tasty stout from Prairie Artisan Ales that comes with a label game.

How is the new Walters ? A local Brewery is making beer under the old Walters label .
A little history of Walters. J . Walters started in Spencer then moved to Eau Claire in the
Mid to late 1800 s . Did well and became a good Employer for the Valley . If interested goggle Our History / Walters Brewery .
Hereโs a few pics of the Bldg thatโs now where we tore down part of the main brewery . The old Brick buildings in the pics are all thatโs left of the old Brewery. Also pics of Walters home here just off downtown area , itโs about a block from the old brewery .
We did manage to Salvage some stuff from the Vats . Passed some on to the City and a few things came home and onto friends.
Thought would share that .
Time for a Beer yet ?

Some nice pics and some great history, Walters definitely has an integral spot in Wisconsin brewing history.

It's taken me several years to find these two. They're out there, you just have to keep searching. Unk has about 3 or 4 sets of each.
