Very nice Daddy Barlows Papa Bones.
I think if you are carrying one of those you have all your knife needs pretty much covered.

Added another one to my group. Fished this one out of the bay, came in the mail yesterday. Another Robeson ShurEdge 512224 Large Barlow. This one seems to have brighter color in the redbone handles. Awesome snap, with no wobble.

Nice Daddy Barlows.
Try as they have, no one has ever successfully duplicated Robeson’s Strawberry Bone.
I have a Strawberry Daddy Barlow that I’ve had since I was a teenager.

I have this great knife but mine is a tad different.
The covers don't have that nice round grind and the bolster is lined. Same stamp number.
I wonder if the "Mount Vernon Dryer Felt Co." etch makes a difference.
Apparently Robeson made a slight change in design for that client.
Any thoughts?

Just about every Mount Vernon knife I’ve seen had no tang stamp at all.

This one has a nice solid feel... almost "heavy" in a good way.

Nice English Jack.
Though late, that is one of my favorite shields.

Here's a new (to me) little Robeson, pattern 622568. Bone scales, 2 blade (blade and nail file), brass liners. Not sure what the 568 pattern is called. Equal end lobster? It's interesting that the blade tang stamp is ROBESON / Shuredge (script) / USA which I believe dates to 1916-1939. The nail file blade tang stamp is ROBESON (arched) / CO / CUTLERY which I believe dates to 1900 - 1916.
I understand with Robeson knives, always go with the stamp on the main blade, not the secondary.
I assume the extra small hole is for a shackle, which I do not have.

I was able to pick this one up over the weekend. I guess I'd call it a dogleg jack. Nice bone scales. 1911-1921 per the tang stamp.

Nice knife you have there.
Is there a number stamped on the back of the tang?
Would you tell us what it is?
