Its been snowing here the past hour that snow that ya know when its done its gonna be a lot and heavy.. See how this plays out!!!! Kept my truck (2015 Toyota Tacoma) outa the salt last winter but looks like it aint gonna happen this year.. Trying to retire from my painting business but my good customers still want me.. Sooo.. Gotta do what I gotta do!!! John

About 10 below (Wind chill 20+ below) and dropping to around -20 actual temp and probably lower by weeks end. We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground which isn't enough to keep the septic systems from freezing if this cold spell persists very long. We have had a very nice fall season but it appears time to pay the piper. ___Dave

So far even though it's early we're having a doozie of a winter here. Last Thursday the high was in the 60's. By Friday night it was 19. Yesterday the high was 62, today it hasn't got above 40. Tomorrow they're forecasting high of 70. Saturday's high forecast to be 73, with a low of 19 Saturday night! That's right, over a 50 degree drop. And 25 mph NNW wind! And then a low of 16 on Sunday night.

We are having the annual Live Nativity at our church Saturday and Sunday nights - yours truly signed up to be one of the shepards, so I'll likely be standing out there with a sheep or two and a goat or donkey. Maybe I can use the donkey to block the wind.

Minnesota Dave, you don't play fair on the thermometer game because you're in Minnesota and that's like, well, being in Canada.

It's 13º here this morning and with those 10 mph winds it feels like 0º. We're getting all hunkered down because it's going to dump some snow on us today and tomorrow. Once it's done with that, it's going to plummet into the way below zero temperature basement and freeze our faces off when we go out to clear it off the sidewalks and driveways.
