Cheers, gentlemen.

Stout with dinner, seltzer for dessert.

14% ABV...dang, could do shots with that Adroit Theory! And all those interesting flavors (coconut, pecan, chocolate, vanilla, maple syrup) practically makes it a dessert all by itself!

It was delicious, Q.

Had a great time talking with fellow knifers at the SVKCC show yesterday. Got to talk with John (forget his AAPK name

), Ryan and Rookie, Gene and Barry and Plum Bob, I think that's everyone. Only picked up I knife, from the same guy I bought my Ulster Dogleg from at the mini-show last year.
But Herb and I stopped at the Capitol Ale House in Harrisonburg for lunch on the return. What a draught selection!!!

Got to try a new beer at the pizza place last night ... UFO White Ale
made in the style of Belgian wheats. On draft, and pretty tasty!
Didn't think to get a picture . . . .

Sounds deeeeeeeeeeelicious, royal!
Sampled 2 new Stella's I found last night, both very tasty in different ways. The Midnight Lager reminds me of a Porter.

I didnโt know Stella made a dark lager. Iโll have to see if I can find it here.

Those are both new "Limited Editions," Jeff, and worth a try in my opinion. If you like Porters you'll like the Midnight.

I love Stella Artois so I was very excited to try the Stella "Solstice Lager". I probably don't have the "sophisticated palate" as some of you beer connoisseurs (yes, of course I mean YOU, 1967redrider John), but my impression of it was that it was indistinguishable from Miller High Life. Funny story, when I was in line at the supermarket with a 12-pack of Stella, the guy behind me said, "oh, that's the Bud Light of Europe!" I just looked at him and said, "good, I like Bud Light!"

Excellent reply, Q! When it comes to beer, I'm all about drinking what I like. I hate IPAs, which most people go nuts about. Not sure if they actually like them or just want to be trendy.

I love High Life and Miller Lite, especially when it's cold on a hot Summer's day.

This is a very popular beer here in Hawaii. I drank it a lot when I first moved here but kind of stopped after Kona Brewing Co. started making all their micro-brews. Good to go back and revisit your old faves every once in awhile.

(Bottled beer is always consumed straight from the container...cans, however, get poured into a chilled mug!)

John, I do believe you are a fortune-telling prognosticator (either that or an optimistic, wishful thinker...perhaps both

)
Thought I'd try something new today. This "Tropical Beer Hug" is one of those fancy-smanshy, tutti-frutti, tropical IPAs that 1967rr is always crowing about how much he loves (

) except that this one is a "DDH Double IPA (whatever that means

) with a "Tropical Smooth Hop Explosion"

Can't wait to try it.

*edit- 2 other posts snuck in there. Nice fridge filler, John. I don't think I would like the hoppiness of a Double IPA, Q.
On the Steinlager- Nice, Q. Sounds like it's from Germany?
