Oh, I accidentally found Kunde's 1910 catalog in the Internet Archive in the public domain.

There is mine E1 10 1/2 on page 15. And number 66 looks very similar to Puma 943

I knew from research that Schrade had copied their knife and blade design for their S7309F fibestos handled farmers jack from Kunde. The one in this catalog is almost exactly like Schrade's version. That bark loosener blade is one of the coolest blades that any cutler ever ground.

Schrade's version with the Fibestos handles were junk handles . I'm lucky to have this one intact( albeit lacquered over to preserve). Notice this model came with a wharncliffe pruning blade , not the standard one Schrade used and also the only production farmers jack not a single spring!.

Wonderful knife!

FYI-- Before posting any photos of knives in that thread, be aware it is in the "Knife Lore - Traditional Knives From the Old Days" sub-forum, so ostensibly, reserved for older knives, whereas this thread, being in the "General Knife Discussion" sub-forum, allows for greater latitude in posting knives of all ages. I only mention this because a few years ago I made the mistake of posting modern knives in a "Knife Lore" thread and was told in no uncertain terms they did not belong there and to post them somewhere more appropriate. Wouldn't want anyone else to unwittingly make the same mistake and incur the same wrath that I did

Anywhoo....here's my favorite, modern, pruning knife. Tak Fukuda design, made in Japan. Handle is ivory micarta. The smooth, graceful curves really appeal to me and I am a big fan of the open nail pull.

Here is a Schrade 175 modified my Glennbad.

This is a five inch long Terrier EZ Opener made by Robeson, circa 1910 to 1916.

It has a hawkbill master and large sheepsfoot secondary blade.

Pretty sure the bail is not original, but it was drilled for one.

Robeson made this big jack with a large spear and pen blade and they can be found stamped Robeson or Terrier.

I have never seen a Robeson like this one.

The other knife is a standard size Robeson EZ Open jack.

The closest thing to a Robeson farmer's jack. That is a giant knife, .
