Nice one Roger. Charlie N found a farmers jack stamped Montgomery Ward. I wonder if it has the same stamp as yours.

From this thread in 2015:

I have a Ward's marked equal-end that I bought years ago for Sarah, as she collects Coca Cola stuff.
The knife has a "Coca-Cola" oval shield.
I'm afraid the knife is not genuine, so I'll refrain from posting a pic.
What makes you think it is fake?
I would like to see a picture of it

MB; the knife is posted on page five. You never expressed an opinion.
Scans are not very good. The bone is much darker than they suggest.

Sorry Charlie, never followed up on your post.
My opinion is that it's a fantasy knife made up from old Utica parts, you can still find a lot of them for sale even today. All in like new condition.

Think of it this way, by posting pictures someone researching one of these knives might find this thread and learn the truth about what they are about to buy.

One of two Craftsman knives I have I picked up this one while stationed in Germany in the 70's. Ordered it from the Sears Cataloge. I also have a medium Stockman I need to take a picture of.

I have one to add... a neat little tuxedo... or perhaps more appropriately... a ladies' knife...
as already mentioned... Lakeside is a Wards' brand (c.1920's):
