Sorry I missed the president's talk last night. I watched an old, old movie that I had seen 4 or 5 times before. Go figure!

Good morning guys, had a good nights sleep, got that first cup sitting here, got to head off shortly to Mr. Tire for an oil change, then have a busy day lined up.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Scared the dickens out of me the other night. I was switching from the end of a baseball game over to the Giants vs Cowboys game when lo and behold, I plopped down right in the middle of a DNC update. Before I could hit the mute button I heard the talking head say, "President B.O. has a 69% approval rating." I thought to myself, "Either he's lying through his teeth or they took that poll at the DNC or downtown Chicago & Detroit."

Seems like everybody else is already up and gone. Looks like it's just you and me, Scott. It's a chilly 52* in the Great Midwest this morning. I think Fall is falling.
I think I'll pull on the blanket and go back to bed for a while.

No, I haven't gone back to bed yet. I got side tracked and now I don't know if I will or not.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Mornin' guys. I'm fixin to leave for a small show in the big city of Bastrop, Tx. It is about 40 miles from here and they have never had a show there before. Might be some new ground to plow, so to speak. This is in the same county that lost about 2000 homes a year ago in a really bad wildfire.
Got my first cup poured and cooled. I'll pick up a couple of breakfast tacos and hit the road.
Hope you all have a great day and may your teams all win.

Re: First Cup Diner!
I woke up early at 3:45, but I went to bed early. I already had breakfast & on my first Diet Mt Dew.
I drank so much coffee for so many years (when I was commuting 2 to 6 hours per day) that I rarely drink coffee anymore.
Yesterday I met a guy early to buy some knives from his collection, then I came home and canned three canners full of pears while my wife was at work. I was pretty tired, so I slept well.
Today my wife & I are headed to the Oregon Coast for a couple days to celebrate her birthday.
Y'all have a good weekend!
