After near-record low temperatures a week ago today, it's 63 degrees here, on the way to a forecast of low 70s. But it's overcast and foggy. If it doesn't clear off Santa's gonna need radar!

It's cloudy today but the temp. is a very nice 30 degrees. The storm that is taking aim at the central states is suppose to clip us with freezing rain. I don't mind snow, but freezing rain causes all kinds of havoc with impossible driving, as opposed to difficult driving, and power lines going down. I filled up the gas can for the generator and I don't have to travel except to church service this afternoon, but I have family coming from all over the state (Minnesota) so I worry about them coming and going. It's not suppose to clear off until late Monday. We may have overnight guests, or an empty house Christmas day depending on what the weather deals us. Have a great and safe Christmas. ___Dave

Odd's a good word ,weird , crazy all adjectives that work with 2016. We had pea size hail last evening golfball size reported just down the road, lots of thunder & lightning and wind. Sunshine this a.m. no damage done so things are good to go.

Well.. We got about 1in of the white stuff last night.. Did my cleaning duties and am glad it went quick.. 30 then close to 40s Sat/Sun.. 60 and rain on Tuesday next week is what they are guessing!! John

Sixty-five degrees and in the midst of a horrendous thunder storm. Rain so hard, I can barely see to the end of the street.

Supposed to snow this coming Saturday.

Temperature made it up to about 45 degrees by 9:30 this morning. Then the cold front hit. It's 33 now with wind from the north 25 mph. Supposed to be low 20s by sunrise tomorrow. Forecasting snow flurries tomorrow. I've got news for them - there's a few flakes coming down now. Got all the critters fed and watered, hopefully just some "windshield farming" through the weekend.

They're saying 60 degrees on Monday. Well, it is Texas!

It's been colder'n a well diggers rear end here all day. Single digits with enough breeze to make it very uncomfortable. Done whining (for now). They're saying a few days of this and then back up into the 30s & 40s.

Well.. Looks like the "Weather Guessers" missed again.. Called for less than 1 in of snow today and there is about 3-4 in out there and still coming down!!! Guess there was a shift some where??? John

20 below. It doesn't snow very often when it's this cold. At least today the wind is a little calmer so the wind chill isn't dangerous cold. We are suppose to be in the 20's above by Tuesday with snow.____Dave

Snow flurries around Old Town Alexandria at lunchtime today, and getting colder.

5 now going to 18 today.. We ended up with 4-5in snow.. Did my first shift cleaning snow for the seniors I do that for.. Gotta finish the others later.. John

31 degrees, headed for 19. Freezing rain today, snow chances 60% tonight expecting 1-3", but I'm skeptical.

It's headed your way Charlie. 21 degrees F here now, snow flurries all day but it has stopped for now. Not much accumulation though, maybe half an inch. Headed for low teens tonight. Debating whether or not to put IR heat lamp in the chicken house. Probably help me feel better more than it helps them.

I've been running a milk house heater in the chicken barn for a month trying to feet and combs from freezing. It's costing me a fortune but I sleep better. It's still cold in there when it hits 20 below but nothing like it would be with no heat. Next week we are suppose to be back above zero. ____Dave

It's a dang heatwave here today, I tell'ya! 46ºF Windy as all get out though!

It's been snowing heavy here but the temps are up by 46 degrees (up to 25) from what they have been for the past two or three weeks. It's fairly windy too so I'm just logging in at home for the rest of the day. ____Dave

It is 79.9º here in beautiful, sunny Pflugerville. Should be wearing shorts today. Supposed to start raining on Friday.

High of 43º here today. I had to do a little job of work on my truck and danged if it wasn't colder in the garage than it was outside. Brrrr.

50° here in Alexandria today but I'm taking my XC skis and gear to the farm tomorrow. Supposed to snow on Saturday and Sunday. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I can only hope for some blanketing like Dave has!

Beautiful Dave. I've seen that much snow here maybe twice in my lifetime. (That was enough though )

It was mid-70s here today but steady 30 mph wind ruined an otherwise beautiful day.
