Great pics Dog! Those are some tasty lookin' fishies there.
Here's a few northern Wisconsin largemouth bass we caught this past week! No real lunkers, but lots of fun on light tackle..they fight great and do alot of jumpin' out of the water when you're wrasslin' with 'em!

I agree with that. Here's Sofia with a lil' bluegill....tiny little fella but it gave her a thrill.
Here's a pan full of bluegills we had along with some fried potatoes for dinner one night, squeeze of fresh lemon and a couple grinds of black pepper...now that's good eats!

I can almost taste that meal. I am going to the refrigerator and see if I can hook a salmon. I know,I know, its not the same thing at all. But it will alleviate my envy.

Once more hunting season has arrived, now begins my favorite time of year! This year is even better; my 77 year old Dad thought he had "aged out" of hunting several years ago, but has rekindled the desire and will go with me (all he wants) this season. This is me and Dad after the kick off Pig-Pickin, we are about ready to commence gunning. I am gonna book us a goose hunt on the eastern shore for sometime in January - he used to take me there every season years ago. OH

Nice OH! Wish my dad was still around as we had some good times hunting together.
Are those Browning Gold Hunters you are toting there? I have a Gold hunter and use it for all types of birds that I hunt.

Thanks guys, we had a great time yesterday (very hot and very humid - but that's hunting - sometimes!) Scott, I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the "Griz" and trying it out - guess the first deer that happens by will hit the ground this year. Jerry, my Dad's shotgun is one he bought in the late 60's - it's an Ithaca SKB that internally is a copy of the Browning long recoil action. My shotgun is a Browning Auto-5 (1951 Belgian 16 gauge - its older than I am). OH

It is still over 2 1/2 months till rifle season in our part of Florida. I put a camera in the front yard a week or so back and have visitors every day and night. They are eating sand pears at this time. Haven't seen any fawns or big bucks so far. The state is broken into 4 zones and the seasons vary quite a bit. You can deer hunt some where in Florida this season from August 3rd, 2013 all the way through March 2nd, 2014. Archery, muzzleloading and modern are each given a certain number of days in the different zones based on rut timing. The peak of the rut in the panhandle where we live is about the 3rd week of January.

Thanks Scott. Our rifle season starts on Thanksgiving day

, you boys in south Florida get to start sooner but we are still able to hunt through the end of Feb. and a day or so in March

. Freezer is empty of "good venison"

, only thing left is about 50 lbs of venison trim for sausage making.
