I'd rank that one minty Keith. That knife a handful too.
Here is one I picked up a couple weeks ago, looked for one for a long time:
Schrade Walden 8OT
Wooden Old Timer box with a stringed pamphlet.
You can barely see the saw cuts in the bone. Back handle darker than the front.
And a Schrade made Keen Kutter 866
Rough black jigged composition handles
Same as a Schrade 833 from that time period.

Hi Keith,
Over the year I have collected many Schrade knives, some models where very popular in Australia.
However, it took 5 years to find the two Schrade knives in the U.S. - I had to have for my collection. D'holder and Lake &Walker.
If you can find it, have a look at my "Duck Pond" here on AAPK.
I hope you like them as much as I do…
Wile we are looking at 4" knives, here is some of my 8OT type Schrades....Ken

I always like to show off my 100 Anniversary Schrade Display, I found it in the U.S. in an unopened box.
It came with six of every knife in the display, to stock it. Every box has a price tag, showing the 2004 retail price.
I have also posted the two new lock-backs that arived yesterday - The LB7 has a green bone handle and gold etching.
The LB5 is one of the best looking Schrades I have seen for a long time...Ken

Here is one I have had for a few years.
It has nice stag, but not something I really like, it just seems too gaudy to me.

To merit 55 pages of true love, there must be something very special about these knives. I've owned a few Schrades and liked them all, but never saw them as anything exceptional. That is until now. This little scarred and worn 108OT has opened my eyes. Obviously this knife has seen some use and maybe abuse over the years, but it is as tight and snappy as a brand new one. It feels bigger than it's size, I think because the frame and bolsters are a little beefier than on the equivalent knives from other makers. The sawn delrin handles and Old Timer shield make this knife instantly recognizable, and when I show it around at the plant, everyone comments on how they once had a Schrade. This is a nice one to have in the pocket, and I'll be on the lookout for more.

I see yours is a NY USA stamp. Likely a 1970's version. In some cases, I see the older ones were made better.

These came from Mark Zalesky. It seems he has a fondness for Schrades as well.
A John Primble Old Timer, #935.
Also a John Primble #5371.

Hi Dale, Two very nice John Primlle knives,
is the “Old Timer 935” a hard to find knife, in the U.S. ?
Do you know the value of a 935, on to-days market ? I know they sold for US$4:35 +22 cents tax, back in 1971.
I have only seen about five "935 Old Timers" in mint condition, and one good used one over the years.
I paid under US$30 each for my two, about two years back, one came showing the price back in 1971 ...Ken

Dave, I have never used them. I imagine they would be okay to cut a stray thread or so.
