Most everyone I talked to around here had a bumper crop this year, dang deer have been a nuisance but all in all a very good harvest. 20230728_142343.jpg
There is a bunch of possibilities in that bowl!

Tomato sandwich for supper - sliced by my Schrade!
I add Swiss cheese and a little Chipotle sauce, but otherwise I remain in line with my Southern heritage.
It is hard to believe that I did not like tomatoes as a kid. I am glad that I grew out of that!
I am wishing now that I had some Cornbread in Milk as a dessert...

Now that is what I call a sandwich! Just seeing that makes me hungry, even though I just finished supper.

That's one big tomato. I can only hope mine will get to that size!

Beautiful bone. Excellent pic, I like the ground perspective with the pine cones and leaves. A+

This thread has been dormant for a while: time to wake it up.
My Asian Pears are getting ripe. I ate a couple this afternoon. They are pretty good pears, though the ones I grow are rather small. I do not fertilize: I think that is why they are small. I used my new RR for peeling and slicing.

My Blueberries and Pears are ripe. I had both with lunch today. Sure wish those berries were big enough to need a knife. Today I used my little Schatt and Morgan on the pears. It is my vest pocket knife: it gets a lot of carry time but very little use.
