Just one more reason I don't live in Maine. 25º here this morning. (and then there's Alaska with that 50º below crap) Sunny today and headed into the 60's for the weekend. Unusual February for us but mighty welcome.

Spent a few days in Bar Harbor.. And visited Acadia Park too.. Did not spend enough time there and some day would like to return!! It sure is purty there!! John

Fresh front coming in from off shore rain starts late this PM ,continues intermittently for several days. We are nearing a great time of the year. In a couple of weeks we will commence with fewer precip. Days with fantastic mid 60's full Sun days in 2-4 day stretches. A couple of photo's attached. moss

Well.. The Weather Guessers guessed a dusting of snow for today.. So if 2in is a dusting then they guessed right!!! And I guess that is a dusting to gd!!! John

What a mild winter we're having. Except for that one little dip below zero in December, this has been the mildest winter in quite some time. Here it is February and highs for the next 5 or 6 days are forecast to be in the 60s. Wow. My pocketbook is lovin' it.

We started off mild but have been trying to crawl above zero since Christmas. Actually it's been pretty typical for us to have a cold Jan. & Feb. so it isn't unexpected. The warm Nov. & Dec. kind of spoiled us. It's suppose to be in the 40's this weekend and maybe a little rain. ____Dave

Well Fri we had a record high of 76 and sunny.. Today it is snowing and 25 to start the day.. Supposed to go to 40 in the pm!! CRAZY!!! John

Rain, Rain, HARD Rain.. We got hammered last night and again this am.. 60 now then 30s on Fri and snow!!! Wish it would just pick one!! John

Well the temp is headed south.. 25 now and a low of 15 Fri pm.. And snow too. Then 55 on Sun with sun!!

A tornado went through the little town of Crossville Illinois yesterday. They've announced that at least three are dead as a result of the storm. I have a cousin that lives in the area. Fortunately, they were spared.

Jerry, good to hear your relatives were OK. I'm just grateful we don't get tornados here in the winter. It's 11 below this morning with no wind. Wind would be bad. A tornado would probably convince me to go somewhere else. Maybe even someplace with poison snakes and spiders.____Dave

Feels pretty good in Culpeper this morning 55 degrees and very few cloucds. But the cold is on the way.
