We've been having 40 to 50 MPH winds like we seldom ever get around here without a tornado pushing them. It's taken a toll on some of the older weakened trees but the healthy ones seem to be doing OK. We are in for another round of cold nights but the sun is starting to heat our daytime temps. up to the 20's so we're good. You guys in Michigan, at least Upper Mich. get the stuff we see about a day or two later so your winds should be just about ready to move on. ___Dave

There's 40's for lows in the forecast for next week......

We're at 66º here this morning. Some rain in the forecast so it'll hold in the mid-to-high 70s later today.

Looks like we have some of the white stuff headed this way tomorrow.. 1-2in!!! Then highs in the low 30s and lows in the mid teens.. What happened to the warm stuff?? John

Sunny.. No clouds.. 56 degrees and just saw the salt truck going up my street throwing salt down!!! Yep.. I checked.. Supposed to snow tomorrow so I guess they are getting ahead!!! John

Snow.. About an inch on the grass.. But the stores are out of milk, toilet paper and bread!! 30 and temps are supposed to drop into the teens this pm.. I like yesterday better!!! John

Really John, I thought that was just a southern thing. We dont get much snow in NC. Everybody goes nuts and hords up the milk bread and eggs. Then usually in 24 to 48 hrs its all melted. I for one dont understand the logic behind it.

And I always thought it was a Pgh thing!!! We have never not been able to get out in at least 24hrs.. Yeah.. I don't get it either!! John

It was 75 degrees two weeks ago, now it's snowing and calling for a high of 28 degrees tomorrow.

I hear you dog we had 70 deg Thurs now 29 and snowing. Good day for a hot cuppa joe and a warm fire.

Ha! 18º but no snow and the sun is shinning. Tis a good day to be alive in The Great Midwest.

high winds and below 0 temps

Winter is finally arriving tomorrow night around 7:00.

Hoping for enough snow to get off from work for a couple days so I can do some XC skiing around my neighborhood, like back in January 2016. Locally we've had 2' of snow in March before so it could happen.

We had snow this morning. It all melted by 3 p.m. the grocery stores were cleaned out again

Seems the "Weather Guessers" are in a quandary!! Depending which way the wind blows, they are guessing any where from 2-8in!!! I am hoping it is on the low side and not the high!!! 20 now, warming to the 40s then the snow arrives this pm and all day Tues!!! John

But the stores are out of milk, toilet paper, bread.. They were showing the stores on the news last night and the shelves were empty of these things!!! John

I sure wish I had the kind of job where I could say "I'll get that project finished somewhere between the next 2 and 8 days" and not be fired. What a joke meteorologists are - I now solely rely on noaa.gov which seems to have the most unbiased forecast where they tell it to you straight and then you decide if you like (a) Expect At Least This Much or (b) Most Likely Snowfall or (c) Potential For This Much. In the case of this storm, (a) would have been 100% correct although the TV meteorologists were spouting (c).

A few inches of snow barely makes the news up here. If we don't get any usually does. We got about 3 inches yesterday and some areas around here got between one and two feet but nobody even went to the store unless it was your grocery shopping day. We have been in a holding pattern of a few degrees below zero at night and, if we get sunshine, we'll see about 20 mid-day. I'm doing a siding job on a cabin, and it does tend to make me want to start a little later and go home a little earlier but then again I sort of retired 8 years ago (for about 2 weeks) so I guess the world won't stop if I slow down a little. ___Dave

Well John I wish it were that way here they shut the shipyard down at noon but forecasters say 50 mph winds and two feet of snow,a full blown Nor'easter 2 feet by morn HERE SHE COMES

Ugh.....I miss snowstorms! Very exciting....makes life interesting.

Drive way, front side walk(lawful civic duty) and walk way up the other side of the house for mail delivery.
It's got to get done. Took just under two hours this time. Love my snow blower!
