Beautiful Garry, the shape of that Utica looks an awful lot like it was made by Bear. Any chance that’s the case? I’ve never encountered a green Winterbottom bone Barlow before. I like it.
David and Iman those are two sweet looking Barlow’s.

I remember being surprised when I first saw this knife, surprised that it was Utica. It could be Bear or someone else but I do not know, Mark.

Good looking knives SSK.
1972 Queen with some good saw cut bone. The action of these is fabulous, no wobble, smooth, tight, sweet movement, with perfect spring tension and feel. Nice click. Love these.
That is one sweet Barlow I-man. Beautiful scales

Iman's and David's Barlows almost knocked the wind out of me. Both are exceptionally beautiful knives.
Thanks Quick.
The Utica you posted is very nice.
I wish they still made them.

As far as the Utica, these were made by Utica, but they no longer make traditional knives.

Did not realize that Utica had quit making slipjoints. So sad.
Two of my favorite hoks.

Stinks they don't anymore--most of it seems to be contract work--while Klein recently moved to knockoffs of the Utica-made 1550 series, Proto's knife line is almost entirely Utica-made; and I think some of Moore Maker's knives (mostly Trappers, fixed blades, and anything with a "U" suffix in the model number); but it's overpriced to anything they used to sell under their own name.
The Cheyenne I and II Trappers are the only things they make under their own name--the majority now is mall ninja tactical folders of ambiguous origin. However, I've heard Utica's main business has always been providing silverware to foodservice. I've seen Utica knives occasionally at Tractor Supply (usually a small lockback or one-hand open folder), but every stinkin' one has been Chinese.

Those are real beauties, Bighomer.
Also, if you go to the Utica website, they do still make some slipjoints, just nothing with bone handles anymore. They have a couple of USA made Buck 110 type models and some working knives like Hawkbills and TL-29's with delrin handles..

Good looking knife, like the hue of the scales. And the jigging. Not familiar with that pattern of Case. Almost looks like a gunstock shaped handle or something similar

. Cool knife, learn something here every day.

Thanks Iman! It's a 005 pattern that goes back a long way. So this one is a 61005.

I’ve definitely become addicted to Barlows. Most of my knives wind up in my pocket at one time or another, because I just can’t resist the urge to try them out. But when this Queen made Colonel Coon showed up it was so purdy I couldn’t bear the thought of scratching it, so it’s joined my very small group of display only knives.
