Great pictures Steve! My wife & I also enjoy going for walks. They vary in length between 1/2 mile & maybe 6 or 7 miles. I could walk further than that but that's about as far as I can get her to go.

I'll tell you a trick if nobody is listening. We do this once in a while. We pick out a longer hikeing route. Then we take our cars and place one of them at the end point & drive back to the starting point. You get the idea. Anyways, you can cover more new ground if you know you don't have to walk back.

We have only done that a few times Tom.. That is a GREAT idea though.. Just being out there is GREAT.. Every time I encounter some knucklehead on the road I repeat to myself that this is the reason I LOVE the woods... Hike on!!!

Brenda and I decided to do our usual weekend coffee hike 4 miler around Old Town Alexandria today. Lots of birds on the Potomac River and the first turtle I've seen this Spring. Kind of surprised there we're a good number of people out and about at 10:00 this morning, but it is a gorgeous day to do so.

The big boys and I got out and rode some gravel trails on the Mt bikes. I should have too pics too. But I was too worried about staying alive. lol.

Amen! I used to be hardcore when it comes to biking. Road, trails, loved it all. Then the third kid came along and well, there just wasn’t time.

But my oldest two are old enough to really do it now and are interested so I’m trying to get back in the saddle, literally.
