Very interesting, Scott!
Y'all are using some old tools we don't see too often, a froe and a drawing knife. Even the bow saw is not seen too often, chainsaws have taken the market. Some of the little hand held electric saws do a good job but it just isn't the same as the older hand tools. Like everyone says, you're creating memories and experience for your "crew", good job!

This is a photo from one of my old fishing spots. The old remnant tress gave fish great cover and a place to lay their eggs.

You know the bean crop is healthy when only the head of the deer is protruding. Immediately after I took this pic the doe raised the white flag and ran away, I was surprised to see a little one bounding along behind, barely visible.

That is a wonderful picture, Ike! Soy beans are a great deer feed from the day they sprout all the way through harvest and then some.

No picture, but ...
We have a doe that has been hanging out in our yard. I've seen her several times as I arrived home from work.
One recent morning she had a gangly-legged spotted fawn tagging along. I've only seen it the one time, though.
One day last week, my bride left out for work, and as usual, some of the dogs escorted her
out of the driveway. Once in the road she happened to look in the mirror and saw that
doe running along with the dogs, chasing her up the road !!

Well, this guy got itself a good dinner.
This Heron is all but tame. I was quite close to it when I took the picture with my cell phone.
I saw it catch the fish. It did so with such amazing grace and speed. A real pleasure to see.

About 3 years ago, after reading or posting something here on the forum, I had a communication with bestgear concerning a coyote tail for fly tying, I think. 
Anyhow, as time has passed I have not had the opportunity to procure that particular part of of a coyote's anatomy for best gear. Lot's of game camera pictures and the other day I put a camera facing a pear tree in our front yard. Deer naturally are coming to the fallen sand pears and we have some pictures but along with the deer, the raggedest looking coyote showed up the other evening. Apparently he had heard there was a need for coyote tail feathers and he showed up without much of a tail. Coyotes tend to look very shaggy in the summer time around here.

Post COVID first Woods Wander!! So I tell the wife to pick a plae to go.. She picked one of the rockier trails we hike.. Yes.. Those pics are of the trails.. 3 mile of ROCKS.. We did have fun and it was SOOOO Nice getting my "Woods Wander" legs going..
