Took a trip to NYC and back from VA a few days ago. Lots of antique stores and other places to pick up knives on the Eastern Shore. I picked up the first 4 at Willey Knives in Greenwood, DE (I highly recommend checking this place out, they've got a lot of great stuff) and I picked up this little Schrade Walden at an antique store for $6. Tang stamp dates somewhere between 1946-1973. I'm thinking 40's or 50's because of the condition but I really don't know of any way to actually narrow it down anymore than the '46-'73 time frame. Feel free to chime in if you have any additional info on it, I'd love to hear some more about it.

I was pilfering around at my local flea market mans place today when I happened upon this...I'm a big fan of vintage International Harvester Cub Cadets (collect and restore) so I couldn't hardly pass this little China doll up...blades are tight as a Chinese finger trap and snap like a Ninjas fist. The trapper is my least favorite design but I thought it was worth 15.00...bully I say!..lol

I have an old dresser where I keep the knife rolls laid out flat and a couple of aluminum suitcases full of foam and the fixed blades. I'm in the process of taking pictures of all of them that I will try and label.

I had a few minutes today and it said truck parking so I pulled into this flea market.
Saw an interesting Catt Jack. Somebody was not very nice to the blades. It had dark colored scales made of what I believe to be man made materials. Good snap. No wobble to the blades.
Man wanted $30 and while I thought it was fair i really couldn't spend that.
Did get two shell knives.
Imperial over PROV. R.I. with upright USA to the right. Toothpick. Black scales faux pinned.
clean as the day it was made. No sharpener has ever touched the blade.
Imperial Ireland. DogLeg Jack. Brown scales not pinned. Blemish on both sides. Half stops.
Feels Beefy in the hand! Blades have never been touched.
I promise pictures when I get home.

I got these two today at the Northeast Cutlery Collectors Association (NCCA) show in Mystic, Ct.
It was a nice show. I was there over four hours.
The Kutmaster has never been sharpened, and has a great spring. 3 5/8"
The Wards, made by who-I aint got no clue, is a great dog leg jack. 3 1/2"
These were inexpensive knives. In my ignorance of knife value I didn't see what I thought were any bargains.
But a lot of beautiful knives. It was fun.

Nice looking knives, Joe.

...I believe the Wards was made by Camillus or Utica.

Thanks johnnie. Actually, I did hear some one say something about Camillus. It dosn't matter much, I got a slick workin knife. Do you like dog legs? I'm starting to fall in like with them.

Joe-
That Wards is sweet!
It looks a lot like mine.
What’s not to love about a dog-leg jack with Rogers Bone?

What's a thistle top? I'm still learning terms for both sides of the Atlantic ocean.

It is the black handled fixed blade in the left center of the pic.
Thistle Top refers to the end of the handle. It looks like the flower on a thistle just before it opens.
Actually I think the term & the knife originally came from the UK.

It's a Wade and Butcher with the name stamped on one side and the trade mark on the pile side. The handle is two pieces of checked horn and aside from about 1/16" of shrinkage (which made the guard loose) and one tight crack on the butt, the knife looks to have hardly been used. The sheath is a hand made affair with a boyscout crest. No doubt made by a boyscout for his scouting knife.
