Well Fellas another year has gone by and Bow Season was better for me this year than about a year ago. This time last year posted a few pics of Brothers Buck with Bow . This year can show you one that got this morning . Posted a few pics at the FCD thread but here’s the rest of the story .We had been hunting every other day and practicing almost as much and it paid off . This 8 point came from behind me about 8 a.m. this morning . He wasn’t in a hurry and hadn’t busted me up in my stand . At 36 yards he wasn’t coming in any closer by the look of it . He was quartered towards me and when I clicked off the Safety he stopped so let one fly . It’s neat shooting with bow as watched my lighted nock disappear into him and then come out the other side and bury itself into the earth. He Staggered a bit ,jumped a couple of times and ran about 40 yards downhill and saw him topple over. Seen blood right away and knew the broad head did it’s intended purpose as it went thru the bottom of his heart and out the other side .
It’s been a great few weeks of hunting here in Buffalo County and kind of wish could keep going. So think this next week will get the Camera from my Wife and go again and shoot some wildlife that way . It’s just such a great time of the year for all of us hunters,walkers ,fence repair folks so hope you all are having a great time in your Outdoor Activities.

doglegg. Those are great photos of spectacular beauty. I feel a little regret for the millions of people who must live in cities although no doubt millions prefer urban living.

You got that right Garry! I hate my current location in the city and although I won't be living in that kind of beauty when my house is done, I will at least be in the country.

Phillip it depends on if our friend who’s a butcher by trade is too busy then we do it ourselves. If
Mike does it he adds 20 percent Beef and makes up Sausage and burger and hot dogs just the way we like . And he’s reasonably priced as well . Will see if he can do this one and make up some Jerky as well other cuts and ground meat stuff.
Can honestly say after 40 plus years of hunting and processing would rather Mike did it . My old fingers aren’t what they once were .

That's a good day's work gd. Nice buck. We in PA have to wait til after Thanksgiving for the firearms season. Can't wait.

JP, one of the advantages of having a good butcher do your beast is exactly that, the sausages, hot dogs and all those things that is easier for them to make, and less wastage. Venison and beef Hot Dogs, you've won me.
