I'll be honest, I've never seen clouds look so identical to feathers as these.

Most cool brother! Sometimes we're in the right place, right time; get the chance to see/snap shots like these...
Here's one I snagged back in late summer; it's a ghost!

Is it possible those could be jet contrails? Things that make ya go, "huh?". Mother Nature can be a conundrum at times.

No. Dad did 20 years AF, I did 20 years. I know contrails when I see them.
I Googled "Feather clouds". Bingo. Formed by ice crystals.

Thanks John.
Truth be told, I am somewhat envious of the trails you travel. You always post some great shots.

I pulled my camera cards on our place earlier in the week and found this interesting picture:

- This little feller decided to bring his own camouflage to the party. Must have tried to thrash a bush and it broke off.
Here is the sanitation crew, cleaning up some scraps from deer processing. The bones were also gone but didn't get a picture of what carried them off. There are both Black Vultures and Turkey Buzzards in the crew.

- Doing their job.

- Time to go, find the next meal.
