Yes it is Garry. 👍😁👍
We were there in 12 or 13 and the falls were frozen to the point that people were ice climbing the face of the falls. Haven’t had a cold enough winter since. Was hoping this year was.

My original birthday gift request was to gio Crappie fishin'. I have a fishing/guide friend who said he'd take me fishing, but
didn't know where the Crappie's lived....I'll show you, I told him.
Ended up catching 9. Missed 5 or 6 between the 2 of us.

Way to go Scott!!!

My momma’s oldest sister can cry the crappy a man has ever eat. Fried crappie, white beans, green onions, fried taters, and cornbread. Throw in some homemade slaw and it’s the best meal that’s ever passed over your gums.

John, great pictures of some cold country wandering. Floyd, I believe those turkeys will have some cold toes before long. ::hmm::

Today is the 1st day of the late 7 day primitive weapons season in our zone of Florida.

Went down to the "condo" about 4:15 this afternoon, jumped a doe as I was driving through the water getting to the stand. I got settled in and around 4:45 a doe came out of the pines on the south side of the clover, she kept looking back where she came from. I couldn't spot anything. She came to about the same place where I killed the 4 point 2 weeks ago.

Kept looking back and then I spotted the buck walking on the far side of the clover away from the doe. Put the crosshairs on him and saw the smoke. Got a glimpse of him running and then he stopped and simply disappeared.

I called Miss Joy and asked her to turn her dog, Flossie, loose so she could help me find the deer. I got in the cart and crossed the drain and eased around the west side of the field as Flossie came running into the field. I could tell she had winded the deer but hadn't quite figured it out when I spotted him. I stopped and let her do her thing, she captured another one! This dog just turned 12 last week and she has been finding deer since she was a year old.

Went back to the house and got Miss Joy to go with me on the tractor to pick up the little 7 point. Got him dressed and ready for a fly bag in the morning.

Decided to break in a new knife, a Case Southern Grind. It's a bit more "tactical lookin'" than I like. It was super sharp right out of the box it has been in for several years.
